Chapter 2 I exhaled slowly, dizzy with relief, when the doctor shook her head. ‘Give her a sedative and put her upstairs with the others,’ she said. ‘I’ll do some tests tomorrow, see if she can’t be useful somehow.’ ‘What if she has concussion?’ said another voice, a woman. ‘Should we be sedating her?’ ‘Do you think I’m an imbecile? The girl is fine. Now, sedate her and get her out of here.
