THE REJECTION AND TRAGEDY CLEO'S POV Tears were streaming down my face and everything inside of me ached. I've never felt this much pain before. I clutched onto my chest in a bent position and looked at him. "Please, let's talk about this Adam, you can't do this to me." I begged. But he didn't listen. He wasn't even looking at me. He had turned his back on me. I crawled slowly, pulling at every string of strength I had in me just to reach him and when my hands touched his legs, he abruptly turned and pushed me away. I landed hard on the ground. The stone scraped my back but I still stood back up only that I was standing, I was kneeling. "Don't you get it, I freaking reject you as a mate. The moon goddess must be playing a cruel joke on me by giving you as a mate to me." He remarked venomously. I gasped, "you can't do this to me please. I love you with all my heart." "Unfortunately, I can't mate a Silver. You are the reason why many of us have lost a lot already. Why don't you join your father in hell and burn with him." I could not believe that I was hearing those words from his mouth. I was rejected just like that. It seemed that as long as I am my father's daughter, I would always remain a rejected and loveless werewolf. "Take her down and let him step on the podium so that he can handpick his own mate." The seer said. Two hefty beta werewolves wrapped their hands around my arm and literally carried me away from the podium in a very rough manner. "No- no please don't...he still loves me...you have to believe me." I begged but no one listened. Thue dropped me in the open space on the right ground and I was made to watch him pick someone else. "Alright Adam, since you have rejected your chosen mate, you may go ahead and pick a mate that your wolf must have connected to." The seer said. I saw the look in his eyes as he stared at the crowd. He stretched his hands, and my mouth gaped open when I saw her step out of the crowd. She was equally smiling and I was just wondering, "What sort of stunt was this? Since when? Has he been lying to me all this while? It's not just because of my name that's why he's rejecting me, but because of...her, Mera?" I thought bitterly. "I choose Mera to be my mate." He announced. Mera was the best friend of the Alpha's daughter, Risa. They were both the worst werewolves I have ever met. They always took their time to make my life miserable and now she was who he was ending up with. I stood up and walked up to him with the tears still pouring freely from my eyes. My head was already aching but the tears just couldn't stop. I've never felt this betrayed in my life. "So is this it? Is this the real reason why you just rejected me? To be with this...." I looked her up and down, she irritated the hell out of me. Just then, I felt a slap across my cheeks. "Don't you dare talk about my friend like that or look at her like she's a piece of trash." Risa said. "Isn't that what she is...what you all are?" I retorted angrily. My pain and sadness had morphed to anger and grief. Risa pulled at my hair and began to trash me around screaming. She knew that I could do nothing about it because of the fact that she's the Alpha's daughter. She then threw me into the muck water that was on the ground. "That's what you get you silly Silver." She echoed and then spat on me. "That's enough Risa," her father said, barely yelling at her. They all liked the way I was getting humiliated and betrayed. They all hated me and have always hated me because of my name, Silver. Everyone had gone, leaving me behind. I was still on the ground not having the will power to stand. The rain began to pour. Even the skies felt my hurt. I don't know how long I stayed there but soon I stood up. It was already really dark. Looking at the skies it seemed like it was already getting closer to midnight. I stood up, all my body aching but none ached as much as my heart did. I had suddenly grown numb and all the tears had dried up, none refusing to fall any longer. I walked like a corpse back to the small places we had erected buildings made with tree branches and the like. We were living deep within the forest. Many werewolves lived like that, it seemed to be a part of us as long as we were comfortable. I got to my own little shed. It was just me, no one else. No father, no mother, no external relations and not even a single siblings. I hated my parents for leaving me and most especially my dad for the pains he was causing me even in his absence. I sat down and just stared into the space. Not thinking, not moving. I was that way until the sun rose once again in the sky. I still sat down there, everyone must be busy doing some things but I had nothing to do. Eating wasn't something I felt like doing at that point. I hated everything and every single werewolf. I saw that the sun was already beginning to set and my stomach grumbled. I guess you can't always cheat nature. I went out in the middle of the night to the forest to pick some grapes and some other fruits that I could eat for the day. I ate it all so slowly, time just seems to be moving in slow motion. I sighed and decided that it was time for me to go back home..."home?" It was barely a home. The moment I got to my little shed I saw some beta warrior werewolves from the Alpha. I was confused as to what was going on and what they were doing in my shed. I walked closer to the two. I saw that my house was being turned inside out. Just then, one shouted from the inside... "We found it." My head was whirling around, "what's going on?" I asked. "Are you Cleo Silver?" The guard asked. I was hesitant but I nodded, "why?" I asked. "You have to come with us." "Buw what have I done?" I akses and began to move back as he approached me. The other two who were inside came out. One who seemed to be the leader of the squad nodded and then the other two moved so swiftly and pinned me to the ground. I struggled, "you've made a mistake. I didn't do anything." I yelled. My hand was twisted to my back and was held in place under the knee of one of the soldiers. I tried to struggle free but I felt another one holding my legs and restricting my movements as I trashed around. Then they picked me up, "Take her to the Alpha." The leader commanded and I was bound and lifted on top one of their shoulders, it was very uncomfortable. When they got to the Alpha's place, they put me down and forced me to kneel. The Alpha quickly came to where I was. Adam was with him as well as a few other werewolf chiefs. I liked puzzled at him. "Did you find it?" The Alpha asked the guards. "Yes." He replied and showed a bracelet stained with blood to the Alpha. Gasps filled the entire room. The Alpha looked angrily at me. If looks could kill, then if he dead meat by now. "You are hereby sentenced to be executed for killing my daughter, Risa." He announced. My eyes grew wide, "Risa...is dead?
