Serena had always wanted siblings. Being an only child in her estimation sucked. But after witnessing how these three interacted she wasn't sure whether she was relieved or sad she was an only child. Over the years she had fervently wished she'd had a sister to talk to or an older brother who would protect her from the troubles of the world.

Unfortunately, it remained an unfulfilled wish.

Despite their bickering and teasing, she sensed great love and affection between the siblings. She felt envious of that. She wondered what it would feel like to have someone care so deeply for her. In moments like these, she missed her grandmother.

Grandma Angie had always shown her love and it pained Serena every time she thought about the fact that her grandmother died alone and she wasn't even able to attend the funeral because she had always been on the run during that period. It would have been too risky to show up in her home town. She knew the council had set a trap for her.
