Serena rolled her eyes again. Her wolf was so dramatic sometimes. Tuning out the conversation they’d just had, she continued getting ready for the barbeque.
If she was being honest with herself, she’d admit that Sasha was right. She wasn’t usually like this. Normally, she barely gave any thought to what she wore regardless of the occasion.
However, for some reason, this event was different. If she was willing to dig deeper, she’d also admit that the reason she was obsessing over what to wear all of a sudden was that she knew she would be seeing HIM tonight. Or at least she hoped she would see him.
She hadn’t seen Caleb again since she was introduced to him after that first meeting with Aiden but she’d barely been able to stop thinking about him. It had taken all of her willpower to stop herself from questioning Sasha about what had occurred when she’d first met him. Over the past few days, she’d all but convinced herself that she’d imagined how powerful and life-altering that first encounter had been. There was just no way she could feel so strongly about someone she’d only made eye contact with for a few seconds and exchanged two words.
Serena was determined to see him again and prove to herself that there was nothing between them. That the electricity she’d felt was a fluke. That there was nothing special about him and she’d made it out to be so much more in her head.
But just in case it was real, it wouldn’t hurt for her to look her best.
