Caleb watched him for a moment longer before he shook his head and tried to keep his wolf calm. Wilder had not appreciated Alistair’s insinuation that he was going to make a play for Serena. Caleb didn’t know why, but he’d felt an instant pull towards the new she-wolf and it had taken all of his willpower not to react. He really couldn’t afford any distractions at the moment, least of all, pursue some new she-wolf.
His research was imperative to the survival of his pack and that was where his focus lied and would remain.
According to the latest statistics released by the council, Canine Distemper was wreaking havoc in North America and Europe among the werewolf population. It was only a matter of time before it reached where they were in South America.
Their pack was relatively isolated from other packs within the country and Aiden was doing everything to ensure the safety of everyone. But it wouldn’t hurt if they had a better vaccine specifically created for werewolves to deal with the infectious disease. That’s where Caleb’s job came in and was the focus of his current studies and research.
So no, he didn’t have time to be chasing p***y, fresh or otherwise, as Alistair had crudely put it.
