Chapter FourteenThree days had passed since Rico and Jean arrived at the front door of Paul's secluded cabin. True to form, Rico had continued to improve at a rapid clip. His rib cage was sore, but regular breathing was no longer painful. While a hearty belly laugh would have hurt, that was something Rico didn't have to worry about.
