The moment Killian walked out of the room and I was left alone; I slowly sank to the floor.
I suddenly felt all the emotions I had been keeping bottled down resurface. It burned at my heart and I found it hard to breathe. My heart began to thump hard as my pores began to excrete more sweat than normal.
The pain in my heart only increased and I resisted the urge to cry out. I did not want to alert the other women in the house. They were going through enough already, especially with the attack.
"How dare you show up here again, Killian? How dare you come back?" I asked out loud.
I felt as if my chest was squeezing over and congesting my heart. I clutched my chest with my hands as I felt the pain burning through my soul.
