Ayana pov: My alarm goes off and I silent my phone with annoyance. After 5 minutes I hear my mom screaming my name on top of her voice. It was time to get up and go to school. It took me 5 good minutes to open my eyes and then I screamed “Yeah mom, I am up” I quickly got up and took a shower. Today is 15th October and it’s my 18th birthday tomorrow. I am very excited as I was promised a car for my 18th birthday. I have the most loving parents in the world. They mean the world to me. And I love them so much. After taking a shower I put on my black shorts with a pink tank top and leave my straight coffee brown hair open. I put mascara on my lashes which compliments my grey eyes beautifully. Its weird that my parents have brown eyes and somehow I got grey eyes. I put on pink lip balm and my black ankle length high heel boots. I am 5’5 but always wished that I was a little more taller. My mom is 5’8 and my dad is 6’2. I quickly go down and hug my mom who was in the kitchen serving breakfast to my dad. I go and hug my dad and sit down on the dining table to eat. After 15 minutes we were all done and I left for school. I went to my best friend Nina’s house first as we walk down to the school together. I called her and she came down in 2 minutes. She wanted to have a great party for my birthday where we could all get drunk and stoned. So on our way to school we finalized the birthday plan. The school went by quickly. Me and Nina went to our homes after meeting our other friends and giving them all the deets of the party. I was already home by 3 pm. Mom & dad were still at work. They’ll be coming back around 5 pm. My mom’s a doctor and dad’s a lawyer. I always wanted to become a lawyer like my dad. I quickly go shower and change into something comfortable. I watch the originals , OMG Klaus is my favourite. I wish Ian/Damon was in this series too. After about an hour I start doing my homework. I want to finish every thing before my birthday. My parents come in together at 5:15 pm. I love how deeply & madly they both love each other. I wish to find someone who would love me like my father loves my mother. We sit down together for hours. We decided to order pizza today instead of cooking. We all have our dinner together and around 10, I give goodnight kisses and hugs to both and go to my room. Sleep came quickly to me that night. I don’t know why I felt a little tired after dinner. In the middle of my sleep I woke up to an intense body pain. I was sweating like a pig even with the AC on. I felt dizzy. Out of no where I heard a female voice saying “ Hello Ayana” I froze. I looked everywhere but couldn’t find anyone. I started thinking that I am going crazy. I looked at the time it was 3 in the morning. I picked up my phone and saw messages and posts from my friends wishing me birthdays. And 5 missed calls from Nina. I can’t believe I didn’t wake up to my alarm and so many missed calls and messages. The voice coming back again and this time it said “ it’s time, we are ready” . I was so confused to what was happening. I run to the bathroom to wash my face. After splashing water on my face I look up in the mirror and I froze again. Shocked & scared to see my grey eyes turn to hazel with little golden twirls in it. I screamed. What was happening to me? I started panicking. I hear my mom and dad running to my room calling out my name. They quickly come in my room and asked “Ayana, what’s wrong? Is everything alright?” I was already on the floor crying because of the pain I felt. My body was sweating so much. My hair were soaked in the sweat. My mom , Carol came running to me and touched my forehead my dad, Luke standing behind her asking what is wrong. She told my dad I was burning with fever. He took his phone out and quickly dial our doctor. After talking to him he came back in the bathroom and told mom that we need to rush her to the hospital. My mom moved back and my dad picked me up in his arms. My eyes were closed. He quickly placed me down in the back seat of the car and mom jumped in with me and dad drove. After 5 minutes I opened my eyes to look at my mother and she screamed. “Luke, stop the car” “What?” My dad asked “Her eyes, look at her eyes” My dad stopped the car and looked behind. He wasn’t surprised or shocked as me. They both exchanged looks and my dad without saying anything took a U turn. He drove so fast that we were home in 2 minutes. They got me inside and I heard my mom say “ It’s time, It’s time, what do we do now? What do we do?” “You need to calm down, everything will work out” said my dad.
