Startled, Evelyn met Kaden's gaze and managed to smile again. "It's because I like you."
Kaden frowned, clearly taken aback.
Evelyn playfully traced her fingers along Kaden's cheek, chuckling, "You're the only guy who got into my car without even glancing at me, the only one who didn't try to touch me, and the only one eager to get out."
Kaden remained silent, unsure of how to respond. He pulled Evelyn out of the car. "Thank you, but you should hurry home."
As he dragged her out, she called out in frustration, "Hey! Are you really going to burn bridges like this? At least give me your number or tell me where you live... Ugh!"
Kaden fixed her with a serious look, enunciating each word, "Go home!" He slammed the car door and sped away from the Goldream Nightclub.
