Chapter Thirty-Two
Ben marched from one side of their camp to the other. Rambo, Shronan, and Katie were outside with him. They’d fashioned barriers to hide behind. Everyone had plenty of weapons, and they all watched.
Ben was in command, and he knew he had to set up a defensive perimeter. He’d learned how to a long time ago when he was in the military. Ben clenched his eyes as he remembered those days. He didn’t care to repeat any of it. He’d been young. It was before he worked as an electrician at the shipyard. Explosions still made him twitch.
Now he had to deal with dragons. It wasn’t going to be easy. He also had to deal with Ned, who loved explosions.
Ned was resting. He’d commanded them to alternate shifts. They couldn’t all sleep at the same time with the dragons circling them.
