we haven't been driving long when I heard Aldric's voice. 'What happened?'
'It was my mom Kate. She is my guardian.'
'I thought they were a myth now I can't wait to meet her. what did she want and how does this girl fit in?'
I couldn't help but smile at how protective Aldric is. 'Totally not a myth and that girl has a name. Her name is Talia and she is my mom's real daughter and is training to be a guardian.'
'She is still your mom Emma.'
'I know but it feels weird.'
'How so?'
'Here is this woman who has raised me and then boom I find out she is my guardian and is suppose to watch over me. What am I suppose to call her? Mom, Kate or Jahal?'
'I would call her mom but where do you get Jahal from?'
'That is her real name but I feel like mom is oversteppin
