Chapter 5

Seeing this big and buff sexy piece of meat coming towards me, I didn’t know if I should be worried about him or not. I know he is going to ask me all kinds of questions, but I don’t have answers to them. I don’t know how I managed to be in that place with that man, and I don’t know anything else.

“This is Alpha Darius.” Doctor Michael said. “And honestly I never did ask you, your name,” he said with an embarrassed look on his face.

“Well, I wouldn’t have given it to you,” I said looking away. “I mean I am not going to tell you my real name, but you can call me A for now,” I said looking at me. “That is until I know I am leaving here then I will tell you my real name.”

“You are free to go.” Alpha Darius said, “But only when he says you are well enough to travel.”

“How do I know you’ll let me go?” I asked. “How do I know you aren't part of whatever that was in that dirty place,” I said trying to control my emotions but being in front of him it's hard for me to do anything but want him to hold me.

“This is the pack hospital, you are safe.” Alpha Darius said. “As for the man that did this to you, we are going to deal with him.”

“Well get the police here,” I said crossing my arms.

“We don’t deal with city police, we do things differently here,” he said looking at me. “Like I said you can go when you are well enough to travel. But if you want proof that this place is legit, then I can give you the lower half of the house as unless you want me to carry you, I won't be able to take you upstairs so you can see it's a real place.”

“Fine.” I sighed. “Do I have to sleep in this?” I asked looking down at the hospital gown I was wearing. “What happened to my clothes?”

“Well you most likely don’t remember it, but the man that held you tore your clothes off, when we found you you were naked and bleeding pretty bad.” Alpha Darius said. “I brought you here to care for you and to find out why the Rogue King wanted to use you to get to me.”

“I don’t have any idea what that means, he told me you’re an Alpha, I guess.” I sighed. “The rest doesn’t make sense and I don’t want to think about it. I had a nightmare about him coming to retake me, and this time he does the bad things he wants to me.”

“Well we need to have a conversation about this accident that happened a year ago, but I don’t pressure you with that kind of stuff right now. I want you to heal and get better, and I want to show you around so you can at least put that we’re holding you against your will to rest.” he smiled. “Please and if it gets to be too much I will bring you back here.”

“Can we go outside, I think I need some air for a moment.” I sighed. “And then I think having that conversation is going to be a good idea unless you are going to accuse me of doing something then I don’t know what to tell you.”

“No,” he said shaking his head. “Don’t worry I am not going to say you are guilty of this or that. Part of me believes you are part of me, but we’ll talk about that another time. I am sure you are overwhelmed.”

I didn’t say anything, he was right. I don’t know what to believe, and what to get out of what happened. I don’t know Alpha Darius and I didn’t know the man that held me. “I just don’t understand how he thinks I am yours?”

I could tell Alpha Darius was shifting inside, his eyes kept going in between blue and green. Maybe he is getting upset and I need to figure out how to calm this down. I don’t want to put myself in any more danger.

“I mean,” I said clearing my throat. “I don’t want to sound whiny, but how soon can I get out of here?”

“I don’t know.” Doctor Michael said looking at me. “It all depends on you, if you can move around without help then you are well enough to get out of here.” he sighed. “But I don’t want you leaving too early, as it might cause some issues. Are you having nightmares about your accident?”

“No,” I said shaking my head. “Only one and it had to do with that man.”

Even though I do have dreams about that accident that hurt me and gave me these weird feelings I don’t want him asking anything else about them. I don’t know if I am being held against my will I hope not. I don’t know how I can get away from him, I still don’t understand what happened with that guy.

“So this rogue didn’t say anything else to you, and why he thought you were mine?” he asked.

“No, he was more interested in making you pay, and touching me,” I said closing my eyes not wanting to remember what he was going to do to me. “He kept calling you a wolf and all of that, so I know he was crazy,” I said looking at him but his facial expression didn’t change and I was beginning to question myself here.

“Hm,” he said looking at the Doctor. “Get some rest I will come back later to check on you and see if you are doing well,” he said leaving after that.

Even though I am glad he is gone, I felt weird knowing I was being kept here even if they said I wasn't. I know I wouldn't be able to walk out of here without someone stopping me. Looking down at my bandages and wrists, I am reminded that someone took me and is after me even though I feel safe here, what if he comes back here to take me again?

“Try and get some rest, I know this is all overwhelming but you are safe here.” the doctor said bringing me out of my thoughts.

“I just want to go home, I know you are worried about me being hurt but I can go to the local hospital. I have to work and stuff and I can't be stuck here.” I said lying even though I could tell he knew I was not being truthful. “I think everything that has happened wasn't my fault, I mean he thought I was someone I wasn't and now I was hurt. I don’t want to cause any more issues or be stuck here because you or your friend think I need to be protected.”

“It's not about that at all,” he said, shaking his head. “I know you want to go home to somewhere familiar but you were found badly hurt and I would hate for something to happen again because you left here. Take a few days here and get better, after that, you can go.”

“So you’re going to make me stay here a few days?” I whined.

Even though this place seems kind of nice, I don’t know about being here. I need to get back to my life, this place isnt going to help me if I lose my job. “I don’t think I can stay here,” I said trying to move to the side of the bed, but my body hurt.

“Please, Anna,” he said, lowering his head. “Please just stay here until the Alpha finds the man that did this to you. Once he is caught then you can go back to your life and not look back.”

“How did you know my name?”

“A guess,” he smirked.

“Fina but if I am feeling better tomorrow, you'd better release me.”

“If you can walk around without any pain, then yes, you can go home tomorrow, but you have to rest tonight,” he said, injecting something into the IV. “See you in the morning,” he said, as the medicine made me relax.
