Chapter 18.- Earthly Games

The next morning sound of the door opening woke me up, I picked my head up and saw Kali walking inside.

“Hey”- she said closing the door-

“Hey”- I sat up-

“Dorian told me about yesterday”

“Awesome”- I rolled eyes-

“So? What happened?”

“Not much”- I got up- “We kind of had a moment”

“What? I though you are pretending”

“We are but … I don’t know”

“I see.. Moving on, we need to get ready for class”

“On it”

I went to shower and when I came back I put on simple pine green top and matching long skirt. The skirt was awesome, one of my favourites. It was high waist bustled skirt, that went all the way to the floor, on the front starting from the middle it formed an opened v-shape, I braided my hair and went out.

“I love that style”- Kali enthusiastically chirp-

“Thanks, should we wait for Ever?”

“O no”- she laughed- “she slept over at Damian if you get what I mean”- she winked-

“Really? With all of you there?”

“O yea. Damian has this awesome power to disappear in some kind of other dimension and he uses it often”

I giggled.

“I never though Ever would… I mean she is so prudent”

“When she is with us”- Kali laughed again- “Lets get going otherwise we will be late”

We went out and started walking towards school. I thought about telling her everything I mean she is the one I am closest with.

“I have to confess something”

“Spill it out”

“I’ve been trying using my powers lately and I am getting actually pretty good at them” “Which ones?”

“Actually none, I mean “- I stopped- “I’ve been practicing witchcraft only”

“As your father?” I nodded.

“I’ve been trying the angel and demon stuff but nothing’s happening.. I mean I can’t do anything but basic stuff”

“Give it time”

“You think it will get better? I mean.. you know I am different”- I whispered the last part- “what if I could never do any of it?” She stopped and looked at me.

“If you mastered witchcraft believe me you’ll make it”- she took my hand in hers-“you obviously got that from your dad, so if you got that there is no way you couldn’t get the other stuff too, just relax and give it time.”

“What makes you so sure?”

“When I was younger I couldn’t get anything right, I thought I was useless, that I didn’t get any power from my parents, and believe me they both have it”- she stopped- “but with time I got both mother and fathers powers”

“You are right”- I nodded- “Thank you Kali”- I hugged her- “I am so glad I have you as my friend”

“I am glad I am your friend”- she smiled and leaned on my neck- “wait”- she widened her eyes- “is that a hickie?”

“What?”- I moved- "where?”

"Someone was naughty”- she laughed- “It looks more than a moment”

“Stop it”- I hit her playfully and touched my neck- “Don’t make fun of me”

“No I am serious Lily, you have a hickie”- the mirror appeared in her hand- “check for yourself”

I took the mirror and start looking at my neck, she wasn’t lying a hickie was there. Dang it Lucifer. I felt frustrated. I gave the mirror back to Kali.

“So..?”- she asked laughing- “will you tell me what really happened?”

I rolled eyes. “He came in, we started fighting and then I don’t know how ended up kissing me”

"Only kissing?”- she asked enthusiastically-

"Well there was a possibility of something more but I stopped him on time”

"You naughty one and here I though you hated him”- she laughed-“so when will you see him again?”

I started walking towards the entrance and she followed me.

“Stop ”- I slowly pushed her at the side- “Well I could literally see him right now” “No”- she laughed again- “I meant when will you see him the way you did yesterday?”

"I guess on Friday”

"Why? What’s on Friday?”- she stopped and took a breath- “Will you sleep with him?” "No, Kali”- I raised voice- “He is taking me to Hell”

She stopped at the spot shocked. "What now?”

“He is taking me ...”

An angel passed next to us so I silenced. “No I heard you”- she stood there shocked- “why?”

"His father wants to meet me”

“He wants to do what?”

"You are acting weird now Kali”

"Sorry you just shocked me, after all it’s him we are talking about, it’s not like him"

"You seem like you know him very well”

“Well every demon knows Lucifer”- she looked at the left- “Speaking of devil”

I followed her glance and meet with his. I felt the temperature raising.

“We should go” – I said still looking at him-

He winked my way and disappeared into the building. Kali pulled me.

"Lets go before you lose conscious from all that heat"

"Kali”- I rolled eyes and started walking- “Don’t Kali me, I saw that and the prof on your neck too”- she laughed-

"Oh stop already”

"No way”

We were in the yard, with all the others from our class. Ever waived at us, we both waved back. Some beautiful women, around forty stood in the middle, she was an angel. Her wings were yellow, and she had the typical angelic features.

"So for the ones who don’t know me my name is Gabrielle. I am here to teach you how to get to earth and right after that you will all have your assignments.”-the women said with the most melodic voice I ever heard.- “So what you need to master today is opening portals, you will use those to get to earth today but normally we use those any time we need to travel.”- She raised her hands- “So we start by cleaning our head of any unnecessary thoughts, after it we picture the clear image of the place we want to go and once we do, we just call for it. Like this”- she said and the portal appeared- “Now you try”- she closed the portal-

I did exactly what she asked me too, picturing the house I leaved in back on earth, the gardens around the house, the yard and I saw the portal formatting.

“That is awesome”- Gabrielle was behind me- “Nice job Aideen right?”

I nodded. “Everyone looked at Aideen, she did awesome”-Gabrielle said walking around- Kali smiled next to me, her portal was also there. Davina stood next to us and looked at me mad. I pulled my tongue out and made a face. Her face got red so Kali and I burst out laughing. Gabrielle helped the others with the portals and soon we were all finished.

"Nice job everyone. Now the important part. You will all get assignments, when you do, open your portal to earth and think of the place you need to go. Once you get to earth you are on your own, the way you do your assignments is your own thing, when you come to earth you will change your appearance the way you learned to and then when you finish you call portal to bring you back. Everything clear?”

Everyone nodded. After that, everyone went to claim their assignments. As my turn came up I approached Gabrielle.

“First time?”- She asked-

I nodded.

"This one is really easy. So you have to make a girl named Anna realize that the guy she is seeing is bad for her, if she continues to see him she will end up badly.”

"Alright”

"Good luck”- she smiled-

I went back and stood next to Kali, after Gabrielle gave a last assignment she sat at the fountain wall.

"You got three hours, made them count”

"Good luck”- I looked at Kali- "O Lily you know I don’t need luck, just like you. We make our own luck”- she smiled and opened a portal-

I thought about earth, about London, that is where Anna lived. Soon the portal appeared and I went through it. As my feet touched the ground, I went looking around for Anna. I found her quickly siting at the bench crying. Poor girl, I thought. Her story was complicated, her boyfriend cheated at her, but he was also a drunk, a violent one. I thought about how to approach her and made myself looking as a hot tall blond. As I walked towards her I looked my reflection on nearby car. I was dressed in bright pink dress with high heels. I turned around admiring myself. I am looking awesome. My wings were being hidden so nobody could see them. To all of the people I looked like a normal girl. I walked over to Anna and stopped next to her.

"Anna dear is that you?”

She picked her head up and looked at me. “I am sorry do I know you?”

"Of course you do, it is me Alison from elementary school I mean yeah it passed a lot of time but”

"Alison “- she looked at me forcing a smile-

She clearly didn’t know any Alison but its so fascinating what you can do when you made people think they did something like forgetting.

“So what’s up?”- I looked at her-“Hey I heard you got together with..?”

"James?”- she flinched- “Yeah I am still with him”

"Really, I know he is a lousy one, drinking all the time and .. sorry I just have to be honest.. One time we were at this party and he tried something with me, I of course didn’t want anything to do with him but he insisted. I kept refusing and then he just..”- I stopped and let the tears out- “I am so sorry, I am not proud to talk about this.”

“What did he do?”

“He started hitting me, he wanted to force himself on me”- I started crying- “If it wasn’t for Robert”

“Robert?”- She asked confused-

“My boyfriend”- I wiped the tears- “I really don’t realize how you can be with him”

"I was actually just thinking about it, I really don’t know how to tell him, I do want to get away from him especially after you told me this now”

"Easy”- I interrupted her-“just don’t tell him. Don’t answer his calls, his messages, just ignore him”

"You think that will help?”

“Oh yeah”

She nodded.

“Then I will do so, thank you Alison”

“Don’t mention it”- I got up- “I have to go Robert is waiting for me and you … just don’t give up you will find someone better” "Thank you again”

I smiled and get up from the bench, well this was easy. I walked around the corner and bumped into someone.

“Sorry”- I looked at him feeling his energy- “Lucifer?”- I was confused- “What are you doing here?”

He was dressed in a suit, had very bright blond hair, only thing that gave him up were his eyes. “Just dropping by, so you were successful”- he pulled me close-

“Yea, what are you doing, stop”- I tried to push him away-

“This look is good on you”- he put head on my neck- “Lets play the couple for a bit”- he laughed- "my place or your place?"

I hit him slowly. “Are you nuts?”

“Maybe”- he started kissing me-

"Will you stop it?" - I asked while he was kissing my neck-

I felt my skin burning everywhere he touched me. "You really want that?"

I kept silence enjoying feeling hands on my body and his kisses on my neck.

"Oh find a room will you?" - I heard someone saying-

I moved and looked around, it was some old woman passing by. I chuckled. Lucifer looked at the old woman angry.

"Oh stop it“- I bumped at him still laughing- „honestly what did you came here for?"

"I wanted to see how will your assignment pass" - he looked at me - „and I also thought we might spend se time together we still got an hour or two"

"ok“-I nodded- "what do you usually do on?"

"You really want to know that?"- He narrowed eyes-

I though a bit and realize I really don't want to know. He probably spends his time collecting girls around. I moved away suddenly remembering who is he actually.

„Lilith" - he pulled me back- "come on I got a perfect idea"

My mind and my body were divided, somehow I did want it but then again I didn’t.

"Come on"- he kissed my neck-

"Fine“- I rolled eyes- „so where are we going?"

"To tattoo studio" - he smiled- "but first let's get our bodies back. As much as I like this" - he grabbed my ass-“ I still prefer your real one "

I glared at him. He pulled me into the phone booth, where he got his real look back. I closed my eyes and when I opened them, I looked as myself again. To anyone else we looked like two people hooking up in the phone booth.

"Much better" - he pulled my braid- "where were we?" - He asked touching my neck-

"Don't you start again"- I rolled eyes- „You already left a hickie"

" Did I now? " - His eyes lit up red-

"You did it on purpose!" - My eyes got wider, I started hitting him angry- „why would you do that?"

"Calm down" - he caught my hands- „isn’t it obvious? So everyone can know you belong to me"

I looked at him in shock.

"We have been through this, this is just pretend"

"But the contract is still on „- he pulled my waist- "let's just forget about this and go have fun"

How great? lets just forget about it , like it’s not my life we are talking about.

"Just do this one thing for me? - He pulled me into the kiss- "will you?"

I nodded. I really can’t trust myself when it comes to him. He took my hand and we went out of the phone booth. We passed the road and he led me throughout the city. We were both silent. I glared around admiring the sight. Before all of this, I always thought London was one of the most beautiful cities. Lucifer finally led me to one of the street s with less traffic. I looked around confused. His hand was still holding mine. We went to one tattoo studio.

"What are we doing here?"

"I will get one more tattoo and you can help me pick one"

Will he really let me pick one of his tattoos? I smiled as he pulled me inside.

„Hello there" - a girl sitting at computer said- " do you have an appointment?" - She looked at Lucifer-

I could feel her mood changed one she saw him. She is clearly affected by him. I frowned.

"No, but „- he went to her and looked at her-"I'm sure you could sign us up"

"Yeah sure"- she blushed-"name please"

"Ed and Aideen Smith"

"You are married?" - She looked at me –

"We are" - he said before I could even protest and grabbed my waist-

I stepped on his feet. Dang it, he can't keep doing this.

"ok done, wait here for a second"

She went to other room.

„Married really?" - I asked mad-

" Why not" - he laughed-

She brought us a book with designs. Lucifer passed me a book. I looked at him smiling he is really doing it. I opened the book and started looking the designs. Finally, I picked one that I thought he would like.

"Well I have decided."

"Don’t show it to me"- he said pulling me closer- "I want to be surprised".

We waited for a bit longer and then she called us inside. A guy was sitting inside. „Hello how can I help?"

" I want a new tattoo and my wife already picked out design"

I was still bothered by the wife title.

"Fine which one?"

I brought him a book and showed him an image of angel and devil. He nodded. Lucifer went over to him and he started making his tattoo. He decided to put it on his chest. While the guy was doing his tattoo Lucifer looked at me and I just sat there. Once he finished he looked at the tattoo.

"Really?"- He started laughing-

I lowered my shoulders. He came to me still laughing.

"Lets go"- he got his shirt on-

"Actually do we still have time?"

He nodded.

"What do you have on mind?"

"I would like to get one"- I looked at him-

"If you let me pick"

"It’s only fair you do"

He softly touched my face and went to make arrangements. When he came back, he had a smirk on his face.

"Ready?"- He raised eyebrows-

"Sure"

The guy who worked on his tattoo came back.

"Where will we put it?”

„On my neck"- I said walking over to him-

"Let us start than“

I sat in front of him and he started. It didn’t hurt as much as I thought it would. It actually just felt hot, as if I burned myself on something. While he was working on it, I felt anxious. What did he pick? What if he picked something that ... my mind started racing around. I hope I will not regret this...
