Episode1
Chapter 1 ~Elena~ “Elena! Run!” My mom, Lucy, screamed at me, her voice echoing all over the house. I immediately jerked up, rubbing my eyes weakly in a bid to clear my eyes. “Huh!” I muttered, my eyes widened in shock as I stared at the smoke that exumed from outside. “What’s going on?” I screamed, holding my nose as I gasped for breath. The smoke was beginning to envelope my room. In a twinkle of an eye, before I could barely move, the entire house was on fire with smoke enveloping everywhere. “Dad? Mom?” I called again, my voice laced in fear as I dashed out, my breathing slow and erratic. “Huh!” I exclaimed, my eyes widened in shock as I witnessed the scene happening outside. My little village was practically in ruins, as villagers screamed and gnashed their teeth in pain. “Mom,” I screamed, my eyes darting back and forth as I searched for any sign of her. Suddenly, the chief, my father, came running on his horse with two others behind him. “People of Raven hall, run to the woods,” he shouted, his voice firm and urgent as he charged towards the village's gate. My home, Raven hall, was a small village named after my great grand father and passed to my family. My father, the chief, had been ruling for several years and I was in line to succeed him. “Elena, come on!" My mom screamed, dragging my arm as she ran towards the woods. The village was in a frenzy, we were deep into war. We had barely gone deeper into the woods when I remembered something. “Wait, What about Dad?,” I asked before releasing my arm from her grip as I ran back to the village. “Elena, don't!” She shouted but I paid her no heed. I couldn't abandon my father no matter what. As I ran back to the village, I could faintly see a group of horses encircling the village square. “Submit to the almighty lycan king or die,” A man shouted, his menacing voice echoing. He had a large scar on his face with a rag over his left eye. “Pick one,” he barked, staring at a group of people kneeling Infront of him. “Huh,” I muttered, squinting my eyes as I hoped to get a glance of the people captured. “I rather die,” a certain prisoner said before spitting on the floor. “You chose death? Nice,” the guard said, a mischievous smile on his face. In a swift motion, he swung his sword over his head, cutting it off immediately as his blood splattered on the floor. “No!” I whimpered with my hands covering my mouth. “Who is your leader?” The one eyed guard asked, his face twisted in a frown. The prisoners were hesitant for a while as they murmured among themselves. “I said who is your f*****g leader?” The guard roared, his eyes blazing like primal fire. “H-here I am,” Someone quickly said, his voice barely audible. “Huh! Dad? No!” I shrieked, tears welled up in my eyes threatening to fall. “How could he?” I wondered, “So you are the famous human leader,” the guard said, chuckling slightly as he approached him. The guard had an intimidating physique which made it more difficult to flaunt his orders. He was tall and imposing, his muscular arms covered in cuts and scars. “The great Nathan of Raven hall,” he sneered, laughing hysterically as he stared at my father keenly. “I heard you have a beautiful daughter,” he mocked, a sly smile on his face. “You bastard,” My father spat, his eyes filled with burning fury. His anger only seemed to make the guard laugh the more. “Shall I just let you die before killing her?” He asked, laughing hysterically as he dismounted his horse. “Search the village for the girl,” the guard said, his voice firm and urgent. But before I could blink an eyelid, my father dashed towards him in a fit of rage. “You bastard,” he growled, his eyes burning with an intensity that sent chills down my back. He had barely taken a few steps when I heard him shriek with blood dripping from his mouth as he fell on the hard floor. "No." I sobbed, holding myself back from screaming as my eyes popped out in shock. A spear was plunged into him from behind. “No!” I whimpered, fresh tears streaming down my face as I stared at my father's lifeless body. It was as though my heart was pierced with a dagger. The pain felt unbearable. "Get the body,” the one eyed guard shouted, his voice laced with pride. He had an evil smile on his face, his eyes darting back and forth as he watched my once peaceful village now in ruins. A hook was attached to the hole on my father's back and fixed to a horse as the lycans all spat on it. I couldn't cry anymore, I tried to but I couldn't. The tears tasted like blood in my mouth. I just stood there, still hiding like a coward. My eyes were puffy, filled with tears but I couldn't release them. I watched as the guards stepped on his body, cutting any part they pleased as they jeered. ‘Werewolves? I hated them, I wanted nothing more but revenge.’ “Look what I found?” One of the lycans suddenly said behind me, dragging a hostage with him. “Let me go,” the hostage screamed but a defeaning slap followed her protest. As soon as the hostage was brought forward, my jaw dropped. “No, no, mom!” I screamed, my lips trembling as fresh tears streamed down my flushed cheeks. “Where is your daughter?” The one eyed guard asked, his voice filled with venom. “Please, let her go,” my mom begged, holding his legs as tears dropped from her eyes. “Pftt! You are useless then,” the guard said before slashing her throat right before my eyes. “Mom!” I whimpered, a cold searing heat spread through my body as I held my lips. “How could they do that?” I wondered, my body trembling as I struggled to hold back my tears. Werewolves and humans were always at war but I never expected the werewolves to be this cruel and bitter towards us. ‘'Is it because they were stronger?’ I thought, my jaws clenched. My shattered heart got replaced with a burning rage, a rage of revenge, I wanted to end them, all of them. Suddenly, the one eyed guard began to look around as though he sensed something. I was still hiding behind an oak tree with my heart pounding in my chest. The winter breeze didn't spare me as it blew past my face, sending cold shivers down my back. I tried to drift deeper into the woods, in a bid to hide my scent from being sniffed but it ended up being my greatest undoing as I fell face first immediately I turned. My fall made a loud thud, making it easier to find me. “Ouch,” I winced, rubbing my leg slowly as blood dripped from it. I was so engrossed in my wounds that I forgot about the intimidating guard.. “Gotcha!" He sneered, laughing hysterically as he pulled my arm. "Master, I found her, a present from the gods," he shouted, pointing towards a horse that stood faraway. All of a sudden, a man dressed in black arrived, he was wearing a mask but I could see his green scary eyes from where I stood. “Kill her,” he muttered, his voice void of any emotion. “No, wait…….” I tried to object but a sword was plunged into my back immediately, cutting me off. I crumbled to the hard floor slowly, blood dripping from my mouth and nose. “Mom,” I whispered, my muscles tensed and my breathing caught in my throat. “She's dead, master,” I heard the one eyed guard growl, hitting me slightly before I lost consciousness. 'If only I could have another chance, the lycans would pay.’ _________ Whoosh!!! A bucket filled with mud was poured on me, making me jerk up immediately. My face was covered in sweat as I struggled to catch my breath. “Huh!” I exclaimed, my eyes widened in shock as I scanned back and forth. “How am I still alive?”
