Olivia stood amidst the rows of vibrant flowers in her bustling floral shop, taking a deep breath and inhaling their sweet fragrance. It was her favorite part of the day, the moment when she could pause and appreciate the beauty that surrounded her. As she arranged a bouquet of pink and white peonies, the bell above the door rang, signaling the arrival of a customer. Olivia looked up, ready to greet them with a smile, but her face fell when she saw who it was. It was Henry, the owner of the garden center next door, and Olivia's longtime rival. They had a long history of bickering over everything from parking spaces to the best type of soil, and she wasn't in the mood for another argument today. "Morning, Olivia," Henry said, stepping inside the shop and glancing around at the arrangements. "Morning, Henry," she replied, trying to keep her tone civil. "I was wondering if you could help me out," he continued, ignoring her cool demeanor. "I've got a big order of roses for a wedding, and I'm short on a few colors. Do you have any extra you could spare?" Olivia hesitated, weighing the pros and cons of helping out her competitor. But then she thought of the happy couple who would be receiving the roses on their special day, and her resolve softened. "Sure, I can spare some. Follow me," she said, leading him to the back of the shop. As they sorted through the buckets of roses, Olivia felt a strange sensation in her chest. It was a feeling she couldn't quite place, but it made her heart race and her palms sweat. She shook it off, handing Henry a bundle of deep red roses. "Thanks, Olivia," he said, flashing her a smile. "I owe you one." Olivia nodded, feeling her cheeks flush with color. She wasn't sure what it was about Henry that always got under her skin, but there was something about him that she couldn't quite resist. As he left the shop, Olivia couldn't help but wonder if there was more to their relationship than just friendly competition. But she quickly pushed the thought aside, reminding herself that she didn't have time for distractions. She had a business to run, and she was determined to make it the best it could be.
