Chapter 20 “Light!” Theirn almost shouted it out, his relief was so great, but restrained himself as he knew his voice would echo down the tunnel. There was light, milky moonlight that seemed to be filtered through whatever hid the opening of the tunnel. It was still a goodly distance ahead of them and would have been practically invisible had their eyes not been so used to the darkness that had only been broken by the dim mage-lights. “That is how…” Theirn heard Alassiel murmur, and he wondered what she meant. “Yes,” Lain replied. “Otherwise the tunnel would have been searched for and found many long years ago.” Theirn looked up at Castien, puzzled.
