Chapter 14

*Tiana POV*

Picking up my phone I call Sam

"Hey Tiana, everything ok" she says upon answering

"Hi Sam, yes all is well I need to ask a favour thou I have two interviews on Monday afternoon is it ok if I take morning shift" I ask her

"hold a sec" Pulling the phone from my ear she shouts

"Jake can you work tomorrow afternoon Tiana has two job interviews tomorrow so she can do early shift"

I do not hear a reply then I hear Sam say "Sure no problem have a good night Tiana I'll see you tomorrow"

"Thank you and Night Sam" and I hang up

Next day after work I headed home to change into smart clothes, a corduroy skirt with elastic around the waist with a shirt and jacket with a tiny wedge, no more high heels for me they make my feet hurt

I look at myself in the mirror, my big tummy, and my chubby cheeks I keep thinking of Sean back to the night he put this little baby inside of me......

The first interview was a disaster I ended up vomiting in the HR ladies bin hahahahha that I will never live down.

The embarrassment was an understatement when some landed on her shoes and she totally freaked out all because I was not fast enough, well what can I say s**t happens sometimes you got to go with the flow

Walking to my second one I swear I saw Sean, but I could possibly be imagining things because he has been on my mind lately a lot and I mean a lot.

Have I told you how horny one is when pregnant it's not a joke.

"good morning ma'am I'm here to see Mrs Sarah - appointment for 4pm" I say to the receptionist all she did was give me the looks that no one would like to receive

"she will be with you shortly" she says with a sly grin on her face...

SITTING ON THE BENCH

"she will see you now Miss Fischer" the receptionist calls out.

"thank you" I say

It seemed to go well the one lady in admin will be leaving in two weeks and they would give me a call by Friday if I got the job as I will need to go in and train, it's perfect timing baby will be due in three months so I can save up some more money and Dom will be there to help what more could I ask for...

Catching the bus home, I put my earphones in and listen to Hillsong and hum as the song plays in my ears Oceans. it is truly a beautiful song.

Thinking of church, I have gone since I moved her between work, fixing the place and being pregnant and obviously baby shopping, I just been so exhausted and busy.

Reaching home, I called Sam and Jakes over for supper Jakes finishes at 7 and Sam usually takes Monday off.

After putting the Mac & cheese in the oven to pass the time I take a shower.

Coming back down the doorbell rings switching the oven off I head to open

"Hey Sam, hey Jakes thanks for coming over" I say

"Anytime is that your famous Mac & cheese I smell T" Jakes asks

" yip one and only" I reply

"so, what's the news you needed to tell us" Sam asks

I tell them what happened and said they'd let me know by Friday if I get the job or not, so I have this last week with them at the diner.

Best but not least I tell them about the first interview Jakes is literally laying headfirst on the table laughing him and Sam have tears rolling down their cheeks

"Yeah yeah make fun of the pregnant lady" I say wiping my own leaking eyes

"Seriously Tiana I wish I was their Gosh I would have loved to see that reminds me for when you threw up on me when you were smelling my bacon and egg sandwich" Jakes chokes out

"No Jakes that was pure embarrassment I didn't know the lady you I still got to know, and you knew what that smell did to me" I say still laughing

"I'm going to miss you, you know" Sam says out of the blue changing the subject as tears begin to fall again, I feel slightly bad as Sam took a chance on me and gave me a home and made me part of her family

"oh, Sam I'll still be here just not at the diner 24/7 that's if I even get the Job" I say

"you will, you’re a smarty pants" Jake adds I get up and stand by Sam pulling her into a hug

"I'll still be helping out on weekends you can’t get rid of me just like that you know and I would like to say thank you for everything you have done for us" making Jake come and hug his mom to she is such a softy.

After our little 3-way hug moment Sam said it time for bed and they need to go it’s an early day tomorrow.

Friday came by fast, and the call came through to say I got the Job and start on Monday.

the weekend came and went by Sunday afternoon they gave me a little send off and congratulations party with my own little family as we celebrated, I couldn't help but shed a few tears I'm going to really miss the clients and my little family even thou I'd be helping out on weekends still....
