Chapter 3

Chapter 3: personal maid

Redrine’s POV

I curled up in my bed and covered myself up with a blanket. Surprisingly, everywhere was silent even though the girls were all inside.

”Are you okay? Are you feeling any better now?” Lucy asked for the umpteenth time, but I decided to tell her the truth this time and not nod in response.

“No, I'm not” I said, pulling the cover from my head. “I thought the day my family was tagged as a betrayer and my father getting stoned to death was the worst day of my life or when my mother couldn't bear the loss of her mate and committed suicide was, the worst, of it all but what I experienced today just broke the scale” I let my tears flow as my heart was squeezing in pain.

“What was the moon goddess thinking of mating me to an alpha from my pack? That man is my biggest and greatest enemy” I sobbed harder as Lucy pulled me to herself and patted my back gently.

“I'm sorry, I'm sorry you have to go through this” Lucy muttered as she continued patting me.

“You'll pull through, it'll pass”. I shook my head at her.

“It won't pass. He could have rejected me immediately. I won't die from rejection, but he wants to kill me with his hands like he promised my parents. I could have escaped death so many times, but I got to the final stop”

I hiccuped at the end of my sentence. Only then did I notice some of the girls were looking at me with pity while the rest had hatred in them.

Because they have a crush on the Alpha, how would you crush on that monster that called himself an alpha?

“Here, this will help you calm down”. I looked up to see Stella holding a tray that had a tea cup in it.

“I'm sorry, you wouldn't be in this position if I hadn't got a running stomach earlier. I'm sorry” She apologized while I could only nod at her.

Lucy collected the tray and handed me the cup, and just the smell was relaxing.

“It's jasmine tea, it'll help you relax and get a good sleep. That's the only expensive thing I have. I know it can't make up for the trauma, but it'll calm you a little.”

I nodded again, too weak to argue. I drowned everything in the cup and handed it back to her.

My head was pounding, causing my eyess to water more.

I laid back in bed, Lucy sat close to me and ran her hand through my head in a comforting way. I was off to the dream land before I knew it.

“Redrine! Redrine!!” I heard someone calling my name from my sleep and I jumped up in fear, thinking it was alpha Rembrary, but it was Mrs scarlett.

She was wearing her natural face without no make-up and it was surprising because she never leaves without her room without make-up. Her face is always dolled up.

I was already on my feet when I saw her with Lucy standing next to me. All eyes we're focused on Mrs scarlett, we all know it's no good news.

“Get your things in five minutes you are moving”she look at me sadly.

“What? why?” Lucy questioned while I was standing, glued to the floor.

“The Alpha’s order” she said and I could only nod even though I was expecting it to get worse, I felt a piercing pain in my chest.

“Help her get her things” she said to Lucy, I'm sure they are shipping me out of the pack. Or worse sell me to another park.

I'm the one with the worst fate, I'll probably not see my grandmother again and Lucy? I was born to be lonely.

“Let's go” I look around to see my bag was packed. I didn't own much stuff, I only get to keep whatever the pack give me as the pack slave. Lucy was already crying her eyes out and few people in the room are looking sad, I'm nobody's friend because I'm the one with the lowest rank among them. The pack slave, the daughter of a betrayal.

“Where are we going?” I asked Mrs scarlett and she shake her head to day she didn't know.

I turned to Lucy and pulled her into a deep hug and we both cried of each other's shoulder.

“I promise to come find you” She said as we disengaged, and I smiled at her promise.

“That's if I'm still alive” I answered truthfully and she was hiccuping at this point as cry a river of tears.

We said our goodbyes and I followed Mrs scarlett out. The walk to the Alpha's quarters was longer because I having been his far in the last twelve years of my life years.

I got different angry stares on our way, if looks could kill, I'll be five feet deep into the ground. I'm sure they are all angry their all powerful alpha was mated to the daughter of a betrayal, the pack slave. They are wishing me dead right now, that's something I'm sure of.

The guards let us in seeing Mrs scarlett with me, my heart was beating was on our way here by now it has tripled.

“Well, well,well, who do we have here?” I heard the familiar voice from behind me and I stopped on my track.

“If it's not my man's mate, huh? The daughter of the famous murder and betrayal” Bethany said, I look down at my feet and I heard her foot step as she walked to my front.

“And what are you doing here? You think you can just come here because you find out Nick is your mate?” I can hear the venom in her voice as she raised her voice at me.

Is she scared I'll take her man from her?

“The Alpha asked me to bring her” Mrs Scarlett said on my behalf which I'm grateful for.

“What? Nick asked you to bring her?” She asked unable to believe. She eye me from head to toe before stomping her foot and walk away.

Humph

Mrs Scarlett breath out and I wonder how much of a pain in the ass she is.

We were almost at the waiting room when the door opened and Alpha Rembrary came out, my spirit almost jumped out of my body at his sight. He was coming towards us with so much speed and before I know it two hot slaps landed on my face.

“How dare you disrespect the future Luna?”his loud voice echoed in the long passage.

I saw stars as I tried to understand what was going on. Bethany must have said something bad to him about me, I didn't even do anything. Tears clouded my vision.

“You're nothing but a slave, a pack slave. Don't you dare think high of yourself because you are my mate” he said with hatred, I closed my eyes and waited for the rejection to come, but it never did.

“You expect me to reject you? Huh? That's too easy for you, I want to see you suffer so much that the moon Goddess will come plead on your behalf.

From now henceforth, you'll be my personal maid. Scarlett will give you the run through”
