THE BOY WHO HAD NOTHING
Chapter 1: The Boy Who Had Nothing
Ethan Carter stood at the edge of the busy street, watching expensive cars drive past. He was only twenty-three years old, but life had already taught him many hard lessons. He had no rich family, no powerful connections, and no money in his pocket. All he had was a dream.
Every morning, Ethan woke up before sunrise and worked at a small grocery store. The pay was barely enough to cover his rent and food. While others spent their evenings relaxing, Ethan spent his nights reading business books and learning about successful entrepreneurs.
One rainy evening, Ethan sat alone in his tiny apartment. The roof leaked, and the room was cold. Looking around, he wondered if his life would ever change. His friends often laughed at his big dreams.
"You want to become a billionaire?" one of them had said. "People like us don't become billionaires."
But Ethan refused to give up.
The next day, he noticed something while working. Customers often complained about how difficult it was to find affordable delivery services. An idea immediately came to his mind.
"What if I create a delivery company that is fast, affordable, and reliable?" he thought.
The idea seemed impossible. He had no money to start a business. But instead of focusing on what he lacked, he focused on what he had. He had determination.
Ethan started small. He borrowed an old bicycle from a neighbor and began delivering packages after work. At first, he only had a few customers. Some days he earned almost nothing. Yet he kept going.
Weeks turned into months. Slowly, more people heard about his excellent service. Customers recommended him to their friends and family. Soon, Ethan was making enough money to buy a second bicycle and hire his first employee.
For the first time in years, hope filled his heart.
However, success did not come without challenges. A large delivery company noticed his growing business and decided to crush the competition. They lowered their prices and tried to steal his customers.
Many people expected Ethan to fail.
Instead of quitting, Ethan worked even harder. He improved customer service, delivered packages faster, and treated every customer with respect. While the big company focused only on profits, Ethan focused on people.
His strategy worked.
Within two years, his small delivery service became one of the fastest-growing companies in the city. Investors began calling him. Business magazines started writing articles about him. The same people who once laughed at him now admired his success.
One afternoon, Ethan stood in front of a modern office building that carried his company's name. Employees walked in and out, busy with their work. He smiled as he remembered the tiny apartment where his journey had begun.
He knew he was still far from becoming a billionaire, but he had already achieved something even more important. He had proven that circumstances do not define a person's future.
As the sun set over the city skyline, Ethan looked ahead with confidence. Bigger opportunities were waiting for him. New challenges would come. New enemies would appear. But Ethan was ready.
The poor young man who once had nothing was about to begin a journey that would change his life forever.
And this was only the beginning.
