Chapter 11 Pain flooded my head, waking me. I sat up, darkness once more enveloping me as the false sight I possessed in my nightmare vanished. I was in my room, but I was not alone. Someone loomed over me. I could hear breathing, and I lashed out, punching the intruder in the stomach as I got ready to scramble off the bed and bolt for the door. ‘Ouch, that hurt,’ said Scott. I froze. ‘Oh my God. Are you okay?’ I reached out to touch him, my hand connecting with his bare chest. Soft skin covered hard muscle, and while I was sure my cheeks had to be flaming I couldn’t bring myself to pull my hand away.
