Chapter Seven

Kyle froze for a second— slowly he moved his mouth against Adrian's, kissing him back. He moaned as Adrian’s tongue slide into his mouth. Adrian bit his lip, drawing blood, making Kyle gasp. His hands roamed over Adrian’s body, feeling every muscle in his body. Slowly, he reached for Adrian's member but was stopped as Adrian broke the kiss. “No,” Adrian growled. Being the stubborn person he was—Kyle ignored the warning, straddling him instead. “Kyle, you're not in your right mind.” Adrian warned, but Kyle ignored him as he rubbed his backside against Adrian's member. Adrian groaned throwing his head back as pleasure shoots through him. “Dammit,” Adrian muttered, grinding back. He slipped his hands into Kyle's pants bringing out his member. He moved their position so he’s hovering over Kyle as he ran his thumb over the head of Kyle’s member. “Ahh…” Kyle moaned, putting his hand on Adrian’s chest. Adrian proceeded to move his rough hand up and down Kyle’s shaft rhythmically as he flicked his tongue on Kyle’s member. “Adrian,” Kyle cried out as he jerked upright, pleasure crashing through him in waves. Adrian answered with a low growl, his arousal sharpening as Kyle breathed his name. His hand moved over Kyle’s length with relentless speed, drawing broken, needy moans from his lips, each sound more desperate than the last. “Adrian… I’m going to—” he breathed softly, his hips arching, breath shallow and ragged. “c*m for me, baby,” he whispered in Kyle's ear as he stroked Kyle even harder. If that was even possible. Kyle’s cried out as he grabbed the bedsheet, hips jerking upward as waves of pleasure crashed over him. His seed spilling all over Adrian’s shirt and neck. He collapsed against the sheets, panting heavily, his body trembling slightly as the last tremors of pleasure faded away. Adrian pulled away, taking off his shirt still breathing heavily as he disappeared into the bathroom. He returned with a towel, gently cleaning Kyle's body before himself. Kyle propped himself on his elbow, watching Adrian, no longer high with pleasure. He bites his lower lip, feeling a bit embarrassed as he watched Adrian clean him. His eyes trailed down Adrian’s chest all the way to his torso. He stifled a moan, seeing Adrian’s member completely hard. He reached for Adrian’s pants, but Adrian swatted his hand away. “Let me help you,” Kyle murmured. “No. Sleep,” Adrian growled roughly going back to the bathroom to dispose of the towel. “Adrian, you clearly need my help.” Kyle persisted, staring directly at Adrian's bulge to prove his point. “I'm fine. Get some sleep.” Adrian comes out of the bathroom, heading for the door, making Kyle huff in disbelief. “So you’re just going to leave?” Kyle asked, confusion written all over his face. “I have some work to attend to.” Adrian said and with that he was gone. Kyle sank back into the bed, exhaustion finally claiming him. His tired eyes fluttered shut as he drifted into a dreamless sleep. ********* Adrian leaves his room, allowing Kyle to sleep. He could feel the pain radiating from Kyle even when they were intimate, and it killed him knowing there was nothing he could do to take it away. He felt guilty because he knew Kyle was not in his right mind but was blinded by lust. What if he woke up the next morning feeling disgusted with himself? He didn't want Kyle waking up the next day hating him for taking advantage of his grief—even though he had no idea why he cared. He has been careful enough not to let anyone know that Kyle was his mate. He knew the council would never approve of it, and besides he cannot take a human as a mate. He needs someone strong, someone the Vampire clans would respect, to lead beside him. Adrian could not understand why Gaia would give him a human mate. He was the Supreme king for crying out loud. His mate was supposed to be worthy of him but instead he was cursed with a human. He lets out a tired groan flopping down on his office chair as he rubbed his hand on his face. He knew he needed to stay away from Kyle, especially since he planned to reject him. He knew that the closer he got to Kyle the harder and more painful it would be. That was the problem with fated mates. Adrian stands up from his chair, walking over to his library. He scans through it until his hands come in contact with a book titled “Fated mates.” He remembered how his father a pure blooded Vampire would always talk about how important they were but Adrian never saw it. His mother was not his father's fated mate but they loved each other completely, that was until she met her fated mate, leaving him and his father alone to be with her mate. It caused his father to fall into depression that made him unfit to rule. In order to save his father's throne. Adrian had to take the throne at a very young age. Adrian placed the book on his desk as he stared at it. Fated mates only caused trouble, and that was it. He remembered the way his mother used to speak about fated mates—how much importance she placed on them. Her eyes would always drift somewhere far away, a quiet sadness settling in them whenever the topic came up. He should have realized something wasn’t right, but he’d been too young to understand. It wasn't until she abandoned them that everything seemed to make sense.
