"The big deal ay tao sila at may karapatang respetuhin," I shot back, my patience wearing thin.
"Respect is earned, and they haven't earned it," she said, dismissing their worth entirely.
"That's not how it works. Basic decency should be given to everyone, regardless of the staff's position," I said, trying to reason with Aurora.
"Oh, please Matteo wala akong panahon sa speech mo," Aurora scoffed, rolling her eyes.
"I'm here to remind you that your entitled behaviour is unacceptable," I said, my frustration boiling.
"Well, guess what? I don't care what you think. I'll treat them however I want," she retorted, crossing her arms defiantly.
"You may not care, but I do. I won't stand by and watch you belittle and mistreat my people," I said firmly.
"Ugh, you're so annoying. Just mind your own business," Aurora snapped back, unwilling to change her ways.
"This is my business because we live under the same roof, in my own house. So unless you plan on being decent, we'll have a problem," I said, not backing down.
Aurora huffed in frustration, clearly not used to being confronted like this. "Whatever, I'll do what I want."
I sighed, knowing that getting through to her would be an uphill battle.
"Sa tingin mo you can treat people like that dahil mas angat ka sa kanila?" I said, my voice rising with anger.
Aurora scoffed, her eyes filled with contempt. "Why should I care about them? They're just here to cater to our needs."
"That's a disgusting attitude to have Aurora!" I retorted.
"You might have money, but it doesn't give you the right to be cruel and heartless."
"Oh, please, spare me your moral high ground," she shot back, her arrogance infuriating me.
"It's not about being on the moral high ground. It's about being decent," I said, trying to reason with Aurora.
She rolled her eyes. "Decent? Who cares about that? It's a dog-eat-dog world, and I'm just doing what I need to survive."
"You have a twisted sense of survival if it means stepping on others and treating them like garbage," I said, my frustration evident.
"Why are you so obsessed with this? Mind your own business and leave me alone," she hissed.
"You think you're better than me just because you're acting righteous? Bakit malinis ka ba? Pareho lang tayo ng pinang-galingan kaya huwag kang umasta matteo na napakabuti mong tao dahil malayo yan sa katotohanan!" she sneered.
"I don't think I'm better than you, but I won't stand by and let you mistreat my people," I said firmly.
Aurora glared at me, her face red with anger.
She crossed her arms, a stubborn glint in her eye.
"Well, you can lecture me all you want, but it won't change anything."
"Alam mo Aurora ang hirap mo kausap!, inis na sabi ko bago ako tumalikod.
"You know, Matteo, you can't control everything and everyone around you," Aurora snapped.
"I'm just trying to help for your sake but if you don't want it, then fine," I replied, trying to keep my tone calm.
"I don't need your help or anyone else's. I can handle things perfectly fine on my own," Aurora retorted, her eyes challenging me.
"Fine, handle it your way then," I said, throwing my hands up in exasperation.
I left the house and headed to the office to talk to my friends. I didn't want to leave because I feared the household staff might abandon their duties because of Aurora.
"Leo, where are you and Enzo?" I asked them when I called.
"We're at the office; why?" Leo replied.
"I'm coming over," I said before hanging up and meeting my friends on the next floor.
Pagdating ko ay nag-aantay na ang dalawa sa opisina.
"Why do you look like you've been through hell? Like the heavens just collapsed on you?" Leo joked.
"I don't know how I will survive in that house with that woman. She's impossible! All my staff members don't want to leave their rooms when she's around because she notices everything!" I said in frustration.
"Oh really? Hahaha. Wow, this is the first time a woman has gotten under Matteo Bernardi's skin! It looks like you've met your match!" Enzo teased.
"Hindi ito nakakatawa guys. It's not just her tantrums or being spoiled. Her attitude is downright awful!" I complained.
"Ang layo ng kagandahan nya sa ugali nya!" I said absolutely.
"Oh, so you just admitted she's beautiful? Introduce me to her then, hahaha," Enzo joked again, na lalo kong kinainis.
As I continued venting my frustrations about Aurora to my friends, they couldn't help but find some humour.
"You know, Matteo, it's like you've met the modern-day princess from hell!" Leo chuckled.
"Yeah, and it seems like you're her unwilling knight in shining armour, trying to survive her kingdom," Enzo added, laughing.
"It's not funny, guys! You have no idea what I have to deal with daily," I said, exasperated.
"Oh, come on, we've all had our fair share of difficult people to deal with, but this is a whole new level," Leo said, trying to lighten the mood.
"It's like she's on a mission to make your life a living nightmare," Enzo said, smirking.
"You have no idea. I don't know how long I can handle this," I sighed.
"Well, maybe you should try talking to her about it," Leo suggested.
"Ha! Easier said than done. Tuwing kakausapin ko nalang sya eh she either ignores me or brushes me off like I'm nothing," I said, feeling defeated.
"It sounds like you're dealing with a real piece of work. But hey, if anyone can handle it, it's you," Enzo said, trying to be supportive.
"Thanks, I guess. But I feel like I'm at my wit's end with Aurora," I admitted.
"You know what they say, the road to success is always under construction. Maybe this is just a rough patch, and things will get better," Leo said optimistically.
"I hope so because right now, I'm seriously considering running away from that villa and never looking back," I said half-jokingly.
"Hey, don't give up just yet. You're strong, and you'll figure this out," Enzo said, giving me a pat on the back while smiling.
"Thanks, guys. I appreciate the support," I said sarcastically while walking out in the office.
"May match ka na Matteo," pahabol na tukso sa akin ni Enzo na lalo ko ikinainis.
