Mending The Heart - You're Mine

Chapter 2

 IN APARTMENT

As the classes were over I immediately went to my apartment and laid with a thud on my bed. Oh god, this day can't be much worse than this. My crime partner is not talking to me even after calling him umpteenth time. But this did not stop me to call him again. I, one more time tried his call but he again disconnected it. Now, this man is getting on my nerves. I wish I could kill him. I sighed.

Suddenly I heard some noises and wondered from where they are coming. Then I realised these are not any random noises but the growls of my stomach. I am so hungry, Mum.

I was busy searching for some food in the fridge and suddenly out of nowhere somebody wrapped his arms around my waist. I almost jumped on my place and the plate in my hand was now broken into multiple pieces.

" What is this Valentina? You almost gave me a mini heart attack. Can't you give a normal entry like normal human beings. " I whisper yelled, trying to catch my breath by placing my right hand on my chest.

" This is Val's style. You know babes." She said and sat on the nearby couch.

" Whatever" I said and rolled my eyes. " But why have you been here all of a sudden and where is Oliver? I thought you both will be busy doing all the mushy-mushy things. After all your marriage has been fixed and you both are soon going to get married. Now you both have the licence to do all the romantic stuff. " I said and winked at her. Her cheeks were heated up by that time.

" He has already gone to London for our wedding preparations as his dad called him to go over there to check whether everything is according to my taste or not before the wedding bell rings. " She said, excitement was clearly evident on her face.

" Soon we are going too. Only two days are left. " I squealed in excitement and clapped my hands like a three year old kid who has been given her favourite chocolates.

" Hey can't you just keep your volume low. " She complained while keeping her hands on her ears.

" By the way, Is this excitement of yours only to see your family or some one else? " She whispered slowly near my ears.

My face almost lost all its colours. "Wh.. Wha.. What do you mean by someone else? Obviously I am excited to meet my mum, dadda and my dearest bro. Moreover, I don't know anybody else except my family over there. " I stuttered on my words and tried to act as normal as I can.

" Don't act smart, you very well know about whom I am talking, Ms. Stalker. It's not only about your family because you had already met them last month. " She suspected me and tried to read my facial expressions.

" I am not a stalker, okay and there is nothing like that. " I tried to clarify myself.

" Oh yeah! that's why you have kept a secret box in your wardrobe which is all filled with the magazine, articles, photographs, paper prints and what not of Mr....... " I did not let her complete and threw a pillow on her face.

" How could you Val? How could you intrude in my personal space? I will not leave you this time. " I shouted and ran behind her with another pillow.

" Then what are friends for." I heard her say and soon the room become a battle field with pillow furs scattered all over the place.

" Time please " I said trying to catch my heavy breath and then we sat on the sofa.

" Sorry, but not-so-sorry, love and pack your bags soon. God won't come here to pack them for you. Catch you later. Till then, Bye. " She said and kissed my cheek, and flew away without giving me a chance to say something.

I closed the door and smiled at the cute antics of my silly friend who is soon going to get married. Then I just opened the box kept inside my wardrobe and a blush appeared on my face.

After few hours of watching a movie on my T.V., I realised, I am forgetting something. Oh! How can I forget Ryan is still angry on me and I have to talk to him. But he is not picking up my calls. I dialed his number one more time, but again he disconnected my call. Now my anger was on ninth cloud and anger and Avery is a deadly combination.

" Now, see Mr. Ryan Mittal, what I will do with you." I smirked.

RYAN'S POV

I came out of the washroom drying my hair with a towel and was going towards the bed to have some sound sleep. The whole day was very hectic and I had been ignoring Ava since morning. I know, I am being rude but what she did is also wrong and I can't leave her like this otherwise the consequences won't be good. I was lost in my pool of thoughts when I heard some noises outside my house. I peeped outside the window of my room to get the biggest shock of my life.

" Baby, why are you doing this to me? What is my fault in this? I know you are upset with me because I didn't go on a date with you but love that doesn't mean you won't allow me inside your house at this hour. See, I was not well yesterday that's why I didn't go with you and I am sorry for that, Sweetheart. Please allow me to come inside. See it's already 12 o'clock. Where will I go at this odd hour, Honey? " I heard her say. My eyes just popped out of my sockets as I saw her balancing herself holding a bottle of wine on the road and all the neighbours were watching the drama and trying to console her. I was not able to believe whatever is happening.

I immediately rushed outside my house and snatched that bottle from her and hold her shoulders tightly trying to balance her.

"Come inside, Ava and stop your drama. I know that you are not drunk" I whispered in her ears and tried to take her inside but she did not budge.

" No, I won't come inside. I know you are still angry on me baby and you will burst out your anger on me once I get inside. Uncle, you know, baby will scold me again and maybe will try to hit me again just like earlier times." She told to one of my neighbours with such a cute puppy face which could even melt a stone. My eyes widened and I tried to form words but was not able to.

" Oh my child! Don't worry we all are here for you. He won't do anything with you. We won't let him do anything. Let's call the cops. " said one of the aunts over there and gave me a cold glare.

" No, I promise I won't scold you. I will not do anything. Please come inside. " I almost pleaded as I know they will screw me otherwise.

" But only on one condition, if you will say Sorry to me by holding your ears and do 50 sit ups. " I heard her say.

" No ways, I am not going to do that." I ordered. I am not going to do that. She should apologise to me, not the other way round.

" Uncle and Aunt, see, I told you that baby is still angry on me. He is not apologising. " She again complained.

" Ok, let's call the cops. We can't see a girl crying over here in such a miserable situation. Ryan if you can't keep your girlfriend happy then you should not make one. " My neighbours tried to make me understand.

" Fine, I surrender. " I said and started enchanting Sorry while doing sit ups. After I was done, I asked her to come inside and she agreed. Finally... after embarrassing me in front of everybody.

" Let's go inside, Sweetheart." She said trying to suppress her laughter and both of us apologised and thanked everybody and bid them.

"Hahahahaha.... Oh My God! Look at your face Ryan. You are looking like a tomato. So cuteeee. I want to pull your cheeks which are right now looking red and embarrassed. " She was laughing like a maniac on the couch rolling upside and down and literally pulled my cheeks.

" Hehehe... Very funny. " I tried to look annoyed but soon bursted into fits of laughter. I know I was hell angry on her but after seeing her laughing, my all anger vanished in thin air. Her smile has the power to melt even a heartless stone then how could I remain untouched.

" Ryan, I am Sorry. I know I should have informed you but I didn't want to disturb you at that time. Sorry again. " She apologised me holding her ears.

" There is nothing to disturb, Ava. You know that you are my top most priority and please never do that again." I replied and hugged her immediately. We both can't live a single day without each other, whatever may happen.

" Come, let me drop you to your apartment. It's already late." I ordered her and went towards my side drawers to grab my car keys.

" But we will eat my favourite ice-cream on our way as tomorrow will be a long and busy day and we won't get much time to catch up. " She giggled and sat on the passenger seat.
