Back at Eloises house her parents were sat in her room taking in her scent and looking at her pictures on her phone she'd left.
There were lots of her and Victoria and Oliver where she was smiling they'd almost forgotten what that looked like smiling since while she was home she looked miserable.
David is cuddling his crying wife while fighting his own tears.
I must be strong for us.
' I really hope she had a nice birthday even with the storm ' Kelly finally says to her husband.
' I'm sure she has darling. She always does when she's with them ' David says then kissed the top of her head lovingly.
' we best leave quickly before Nathan wakes from his nap and catches us in here ' David said while a tear fell down his cheek. He was sat caressing his wifes cheek then he moved her face toward him and kissed her.
They got up and walked out of her room about to go down the stairs until they heard Nathans voice... That made them freeze in their tracks.
' what were you doing in that murderers room ' He spat at them hatefully.
' we were just making sure she'd gone '
Kelly blurted out in a panic.
' then why do you sound like you've been crying ' Nathan began to sound angry.
Before Kelly could try to answer David quickly answered ' she was crying because of what she did to Avery. We miss her terribly '
This seemed to please Nathan enough to drop it.
' I want some food go and make me some now ' Nathan demanded.
The way Nathan spoke to his parents made his father furious but there was nothing he could do yet.
Nathan has some undiagnosed issues and he is a very sick boy mentally but whenever they'd tried to get him help in the past he knew how to minipulate people into believing whatever he wanted so they gave up trying. They knew exactly what he was capable of.
' yes Nathan our lovely boy ' Kelly forced herself to say. They had to do whatever he wanted or he threatened Eloise with concequensces.
Nathan had always tried to make them believe that Eloise was the one who murdered Avery but they knew that wasn't who Eloise was.
They knew she loved her sister and she was a sweet clever girl who wouldn't intentionally harm anyone so they had to act like they believed it to please Nathan so he would leave her alone.
There was no point going to the police with their suspicions because of how minipulative he is. He would twist it and say it was them and make them believe him then they would be sent away forever and then nobody could protect Eloise from him.
As Kelly was preparing Nathans food she slightly turned her head to see if he was watching so she could slip in the calming medication.
David and Kelly had searched for a long time to find a professional that would help them since Nathan would refuse to be seen and the appointments he did go to he would begin to hint he was abused by his parents.
While glancing at his parents and he would mouth ' back off ' when they were not being watched, threatening to continue to make alligations of abuse.
They stopped trying to make him go after that and instead tried to get him diagnosed without him attending the appointments but nobody would do it.
They were just about ready to give up when they found Dr. Frederick Keane who had first hand experience with someone like Nathan.
His family had the same sort of situation and without any help his sister murdered his whole family when he was 8 and he managed to barely survive. It took a long time for him to recover properly but since then he decided that he will be the one to help those in the nightmare he once had to live.
Because Nathan couldn't be properly diagnosed without being seen they had to start with the lowest dose and gradually up the dosage until they noticed he'd changed.
They'd only recently began the treatment so they were still waiting to see how much he'd need and if it really would help them all.
They'd noticed a small change in their son so they were hopeful.
Kelly and David always ate after giving the food to Nathan so they could get away with not eating the same food so avoid suspicions.
Once they were done David got up and washed the dishes and cleared up the kitchen when Nathan came storming in ' where is my pudding you useless rat '. David clenched his fists but quickly reminded himself that this should all be over soon he must protect his family at all costs.
' I said where is my pudding?? are you going deaf too in your old age ' he screamed at his father when he hadn't said or done anything
' that's enough Nathan I've just about had it - '
Nathan had an evil smirk on his face as his mother appeared. He smashed his mother's face off the counter and her nose bust pouring with blood. she was crying hysterically but Nathan wasn't phased instead he said
' do you want to take the punishment or shall I carry on with mother dearest here? '
Kelly began screaming for David to not take the punishment but of course he wouldn't see his wife in any more pain.
Kelly began pleading with Nathan to let it go this once and she will make him his favourite dessert. She knew it was unlikely he would take it since he loved to torture anything he could but to their surprise Nathan smiled and said
' fine mother. Just this once I'm in the mood for your special dessert anyway '
Kelly rushed to the fridge and began to prepare it before he could change his mind
' clean up mother I don't want blood in my dessert this time ' Nathan laughed as he turned to begin walking away.
the medicine must be working David and Kelly excitedly thought
' yes son, we love you dearly ' Kelly replied with a smile.
' shut up weirdo your face looks ugly when you do that ' Nathan spat back hatefully.
