As I waited for Alex, my mind drifted to my father and his recent drinking problem. Even though I had acted nonchalant to Richard about it because I was upset with my dad for sending Alex away, even though she was innocent and only a victim in the whole drama.
However, deep down, I was worried about him, I caught sight of him once, it was late at night, and he came back so drunk that he staggered and almost fell.
I hoped Celine got what was coming to her, for attempting to ruin the lives of two of the most important people in my life. Father didn’t deserve to be treated that way, he had given her everything she asked for, but he still cheated on her with Anna’s father, of all people. The only crime Alex committed was being called her daughter.
