Hey newbee! How are you? I guess Mr. Tristan did you well? Darrmill spoke loudly while his friends who stood at the corner giggled meanwhile Lilly was getting some books from her locker and didn’t give them the chance. She knows they are trouble, and didn’t want uncle Sam coming to school for no reason. “Don’t mind them" Harrell said. Lilly looked at him surprisingly, but didn’t say a word. Harrel is a tan colored young man. “So are you from around here?” he asked but Lilly kept mute. "I guess you don’t speak to strangers. My Dad always say, a stranger today, a best friend tomorrow. So I’ll ask again, are you from around here? "Hmm..No." She answered as she continued speaking "I moved here from Elnor." "Oh! Elnor." He exclaimed. "Why do you sound surprised?" She asked. "My Dad always tells me about Elnor, the place of witchery and mysteries just like Africa. My name is Harrell" He makes a gesture of handshake, stretching his hands towards Lilly. “I am Lilly she replied” “I know” Lilly the new girl. “Yes” I’m new here but you don’t have to say that"she spoke stylishly. "So your Dad knows a lot about Africa?" She asked. "He is from Africa" Harrell replied. "Wow that’s cool" Darrmill seems jealous looking at the two from far, he walks up to them and said "So what are you goons discussing?" He asked. "It’s none of your business" Harrell said looking at Darrmill angrily. Darrmill pushes Harrell, Harrell angrily also pushes Darrmill. "Please stop making scene here" Lilly said. Lilly don’t like people staring at her and right now many people are staring at her and shimming words, she assumed they think Harrell and Darrmill are fighting because they want to have her, and this makes her shy. "Please stop it" she pleads again trying to drag them apart from each other. the boys with Darrmill just stood there watching and laughing "Oh see the girlfriend begging, she’s begging, Darrmill makes mockery of Lilly. "Just leave" Harrell said. “And what can you do if I don’t leave?” Darrmill asked. "I’ll send you to your grandpa." Woo...His three friends standing behind him shouted and starting laughing. "Hey! you all get out of there" Guirri shouted at Darrmill and the boys Guirri is short, thin and ebony in color, she’s respected and feared because most students believe she’s a witch. Nobody wants to mess with her. "The witch is here" one of the boys whispers into Darrmill's ears. Darrmill immediately took flight with his boys following. “A group of hoodlums,” Harrell said looking at Darrmill and the boys as they walked away. "Thank you Guirri for the help" He said. "It’s nothing she replied." What’s up new bee? “I maybe new but new bee is not my name” lilly said. Okay. What’s your name? “My name is Lilly” She answered. "Well, I guess you already know mine," Guirri said. Why were the boys afraid of you? She asked. "Do you really want to know?" "Yes! I do" she replied. "Don’t worry very soon you’ll know." Guirri said. "Please let’s leave here" Harrell said. "Will you be friend?" Lilly asked "Hmm... let me think about it.. you seem nice. Guirri hesitates a while the said "Okay. we can be friends" Lilly smiled as the three walked into the school park. Lilly and Harrell are now good friends after school Harrell convinced Lilly to go know his place. They take a stroll instead of taking the school bus, Harrell explains the school bus follows a different route every day therefore, he had to walk down home everyday. He always prefers walking since his place is not far from school. So you didn’t tell me why people fear Guirri" Lilly said "Okay, you hardly give up, you’re the curious type, Harrell said. "Yes. I am.. I think my situation is hereditary that’s if being curious is also hereditable, she said. "Why do you say that? Harrell asked. While growing up I discovered that trait in my grandma and my uncle" she replied. "What about your parents, I mean your Mum and Dad?" Harrell asked. "My mum and dad passed away when I was only a Baby. My grandma used to speak highly of them especially my dad, her son." "Sorry about that.. I didn’t know. I am sorry for asking." "It’s okay, I find comfort talking about them. All I have about them is what my grandma told me. My uncle on the other hand hardly says anything about them." "He’s still grieving?" Harrell asked. "Do people grieve more than sixteen years?" "I don’t know, I am only guessing." He said. "I understand" She replied. "So, about Guirri" she insisted. "Guirri is a witch, oh sorry, I’m joking he jerks" "Please be serious." Lilly said. "I am serious" Lilly said. "Okay. People call her witch because of the way she behaves, and they say her mum was a witch and the mum initiated her into Witchcraft. "How does she behave?" "Didn’t you see? All the bids she wore, and how she designed her face and clothes?" Harrell asked. “But that may just be her own unique way of fashion” Lilly said. “Can you see the house over there?” Harrell points across the street, a five story building, built with bricks and painted brown, the doors were all sealed by the Glomsmire Police Department. It is boldly written “No trespassing by GPD” The doors were sealed with planks nailed to the door post which is made of hardwood. The balcony of the first floor is made of poor metals which are almost all broken but the second and third floor's metals are still intact, the fourth and fifth floor were all sealed. "Yes I do," she replied. Harrell changed the topic because there are things he didn’t want Lilly to know about Guirri. Guirri is a monster, at least that’s what everyone thinks, someone who killed her dad for reasons best known to her and set their building on fire. Guirri is someone you don’t mess with, she reported herself to the GPD after which investigation was made, although the Police dropped all charges against her because all evidence says otherwise, they say she reported to had killed the father due to trauma but so many people in Glomsmire still believe she’s guilty. Neighbors all testified in court that the girl is innocent but after they went home their statements were different. Guirri's case is so complicated but since the Police let her go everyone had to live with it. "They say something strange happened there ten years ago," Harrell said pointing at the building. "Hmm how strange?" she asked. "Very strange I guess. My Dad told me fifteen people died at the spot but he didn’t really give me details. He once warned me never to go close to that building. "Ehen probably because it’s dangerous." "I know it is but something tells me to go check it out. We don’t have the luxury of time if not we would’ve checked it out. “You and who?” Lilly asked rhetorically. "Okay. Let’s go then but I'll check it someday," Harrell said.
