Chapter Five

After drinking the hearty soup Isaac cooked, Molly soon fell asleep. Isaac carried her into the bedroom, tucked her in, and watched her exquisite face quietly.

Molly and Isaac got married because of old Mr. Joseph's wish. But Isaac married Molly entirely because he loved her.

Over a decade ago, when Isaac was still a homeless child on the streets, they met by chance. Back then, Isaac struggled to eat and dress warmly, always at risk of freezing or starving to death.

Kind-hearted Molly would secretly bring him food and clothes from home, even if it meant getting beaten by her family if they found out. Thanks to Molly's kindness, Isaac survived that harsh winter.

Since then, Isaac vowed to marry Molly and protect her for life!

After marrying Molly, Isaac discovered that Molly had a rare disease. This illness would become more frequent with Molly's increasing age. Each time, the pain would start from her abdomen, then spread throughout her body, and the intensity of the pain would increase.

The only way to treat this disease was to take the K19 potion developed by the Underworld for a long time until a complete recovery.

The soup Isaac made for Molly contained the K19 potion. So every time Molly drank the soup, she would feel extremely comfortable and then fall into a deep sleep.

Isaac gently stroked Molly's face. "Sleep, just sleep."

The next morning, Molly, having finished getting ready, arrived in the living room where Isaac had already prepared a hearty breakfast.

"Morning, darling, come and have breakfast."

Seeing Isaac still wearing an apron as usual, Molly's face darkened.

"I'm going to the Rock Group later. Are you coming with me?"

Isaac scooped a bowl of soup for Molly. "I won't go. I have to go grocery shopping later..."

Isaac hadn't finished his sentence when Molly's expression suddenly turned sour, and she walked towards the door.

Isaac, holding the bowl, was stunned. "Wife, have something to eat first, or you'll be hungry in the morning."

Molly didn't even pay attention to Isaac and left the house, driving away.

In the car, Molly became angrier the more she thought about it. She couldn't understand why Isaac couldn't appreciate her efforts!

Because Isaac was idle at home every day, her parents forced them to divorce. If Isaac had taken the initiative to go out with her today, after securing this deal, he would naturally have received credit, and others would no longer look down on him.

More importantly, Isaac had promised to help her!

Arriving downstairs at the Rock Group, Molly took a deep breath and composed herself. She picked up the documents and walked into the lobby.

A security guard stopped her as soon as he saw her. "Excuse me, miss, who are you looking for?"

Molly smiled and said, "I'm Molly Joseph from the Joseph Group, and I'm looking for Mr. Eden Wallis."

"Do you have an appointment?"

Molly awkwardly shook her head. "I don't have an appointment, but I really need to see Mr. Wallis urgently. Can you please let him know?"

The guard said flatly, "It's company policy that you can't enter without an appointment. Please leave."

"I really need to see Mr. Wallis."

The guard ignored whatever Molly said and prepared to forcibly remove her.

Just then, a voice came from behind Molly.

"What's going on?"

Molly turned around to see a middle-aged man in a black suit and a bald head standing behind her, eyeing her lasciviously.

Seeing the man, the guard immediately stood at attention and saluted. "Mr. Wallis, she says she's here to see you, but she doesn't have an appointment."

Turned out, the man before her was Mr. Wallis.

Molly felt extremely uncomfortable under Eden Wallis's unabashed gaze, but for the sake of cooperation, she suppressed her discomfort and said, "Mr. Wallis, I'm Molly Joseph from the Joseph Group. I'd like to discuss the matter of the A8 land with you."

"Hahaha, of course. Ms. Joseph, why don't we discuss it in my office?"

The moment Eden Wallis laid eyes on Molly, he couldn't look away. Molly was fair-skinned and beautiful, with long, slender legs. Her figure was enticing, captivating Eden Wallis, leaving him feeling parched.

He had no idea that the Joseph family would have such a stunning beauty.

Although Molly had a vague sense that something was off, she chose to go to Eden Wallis's office for the sake of the company's cooperation.

Thirty minutes later, at the Rock Group building.

Isaac parked his scooter and hung up his helmet. Of course, he knew why Molly was angry, so after buying groceries at the market, he rushed here as fast as he could, hoping to explain things to Molly.

But as soon as he parked the scooter, he saw Molly running out of the building, wiping tears from her eyes.

"Darling, what's wrong?"

Seeing Molly so heartbroken, Isaac's heart sank, and he immediately ran over.

Slap!

Molly gave Isaac a hard slap.

"You weren't coming, were you? Are you satisfied now?"

"None of you men are any good! You should all die!"

Before Isaac could react, Molly opened the car door and drove away.

Isaac's face darkened. He knew Molly must have been bullied.

He walked straight into the lobby, where he overheard two security guards gossiping with smirks on their faces.

"Mr. Wallis was pretty quick this time, only took him half an hour to handle it."

"Did you see how pretty that woman was just now? If it were me, I probably wouldn't last three minutes."

Hearing the guards, Isaac's anger flared even more.

He walked over and lightly patted the guards' shoulders. They stiffened immediately, unable to move.

A sharp pain spread from their shoulders, coursing through their bodies!

"Do Wallis's office have surveillance?"

The two guards reluctantly nodded.

"Take me to the surveillance room."

Though reluctant, the guards had no choice but to lead the way under Isaac's threat.

Five minutes later, Isaac emerged from the surveillance room and took the elevator directly to Eden Wallis's office.

In the past half-hour, Molly had been trying to discuss cooperation with Eden Wallis, but he kept implying that Molly needed to pay a price. In the end, when Molly refused to cooperate, Eden Wallis attempted to force himself onto her.

Luckily, Molly had learned some self-defense moves from Isaac. She kicked Eden Wallis and managed to escape from the office.

But even so, Molly still felt she had been bullied, and she was shaken, which was why she cried so heartbreakingly.

"Dare to touch my woman, and you're dead."

Isaac kicked open the office door and walked in.
