CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO Andi was still in the doctor’s rooms when I arrived, so I sat in the waiting area and people watched as everyone played on their cell phones for twenty minutes. I still couldn’t comprehend the modern human obsession with their communication devices. Yes, they were convenient, and yes, they had a million entertaining apps, but honestly, had people forgotten the art of conversation, or how to spell or even think for themselves?
