meeting him 10

Chapter 10 Mercury's POV It's been a while since I had scared one of my daughter's mates. Cheyenne had told me just to go meet him and not to be scarey, but she knew me all too well. When Tori mind-linked me, telling me she wanted me to meet her mate and that he needed help, I knew I needed to meet him. I didn't say anything else to Cheyenne when I walked out the door. I did hear her scream, "DON'T SCARE HIM TOO MUCH." I wanted to laugh, but it quickly went away when I saw the man beside my daughter. He looked familiar, all too familiar to me. As I got closer, I noticed his arm around Tori. Then, as I looked into his face, I knew who this man was. His name was Bear. He was just a young pup when I beat up his uncle for trying to seduce my mate. Then he had the nerve to try and poison me. So when he thought I was dead, I went to the pack, found him, and kicked his ass. I had heard that rogues killed Bear's parents. I wish I was there, so I could have taken him with me and raised him as my own. But when I went to find him, he was gone. His uncle told me that he had run away. I tried to find him, but he was nowhere to be found. I knew he was lying, so I punched him in the face. I knew the man tried to get rid of him, and here he is in our pack, the mate of one of my daughters. When I reached them, I told him to stand up. I mind-linked Isaiah and Spike, telling them to hurry up and come over. I wanted to make this guy nervous, and trust me, I did. He told me the real story of what happened, and now he wants his pack back. "Well, let me tell you what I think. I think you need to get as many of those people on your side. Once you do that, buy some land, then build your own territory. Once everything is built, let them know it's done. If they want to join you, then come to your pack. But there is a but, yes, there is a but. Your uncle is going to find out about it. He's going to see his pack shrinking, and once he finds out it's you, he is going to come after you. That's when it's going to be all up to you on what you do. I can't tell you what to do about things, but if that's what you want to do." "I do have some money. I built a business on my own, a lumber business. So I can get all the lumber and concrete I can get. I just need to speak with whoever I need to speak with to buy land." "That's easy. I have tons of land. I've been thinking about what to do with it. I could sell it to you for a cheap price, and I'll even have my builders start building for you. You just need to let me know how many houses need to be built, and it will be done. Of course, the pack house. And all you have to do is go on a few pick-ups, and we will be settled. So, what do you say?" My son is always willing to help, but for a price. I think it's funny, but it could be helpful. "What do you mean, ‘come with you with one of your pickups’?” He smirked and then said, “With one of our collections, if you're going to be in this family, we need to see what you have. You know how to use a gun, right? All you have to do is stand there pointing the gun. If they try anything, then you shoot them between the eyes; easy as that.” I watched as he shrugged and said okay, then asked, “When can I see the land?” “Well, right now, my builders are cutting down the trees, but they're making sure nothing is living in them. Come on, I'll show you, Tori, Rachel. Are y'all coming? I'm sure Tori will be moving with you once everything is built.” We all got into the car, speeding off. It took thirty minutes to get there. Once there, we parked and got out. The workers have been working quickly; they even got a few houses being built. We all got out of the car to look around. I could tell Bear was impressed; he touched the trees that were going to stay and even touched the ground. I don't know why, but hey, to each their own. He got up with dirt in his hand, smiling from ear to ear, “This is good land; the dirt is just right to plant gardens.” He looked at me, pulling out a wad of money. No wonder why he wanted to stop at the bank; I should have known he was up to something. He tossed it to Isaiah, and he caught it. “Thanks for the land. I think I'm going to need about a hundred houses and a huge pack house for the unmated. Once everyone realizes that I'm still alive, they're going to want to come. How long do you think it's going to take for everything to build?” Well, I have three hundred builders, so it's not going to take too long for them to build everything. You still need to order beds, dressers, and even plumbing, so it's going to take a bit. I say a year, maybe less if you know any plumbers that will come in the middle of the woods to lay down pipe for water. ‘Yeah, I do. I know a lot of them. I will call them right now and see what they will say. Most of them are lone wolves, so maybe they will come and help. So we have that covered. What else are we going to need? I'm new to all of this. I wish my parents were still alive so my dad could tell me what else to do, but he’s not here. “Don't worry man, we got you. Everything is going to turn out fine.
