Chapter 41
Rida POV
I woke up this morning with a plan in mind. I wanted to get on this girl’s nerves to see what she could do and check if Cole had told her about us. If he hadn’t, then I would tell him. It was only a matter of time before she would reject him and leave, and we wouldn’t have to move from our home. I was born in this place, right in that hospital. I was raised in the house where my parents left me, and that’s when I became one of the strongest warriors. I don’t want to move from here; this is my home. I noticed she was talking to Penny. She was telling her that she didn't have to bow to her, just respect her, and she would respect her. All that blah, blah, blah crap. If I were Luna, you bet your sweet ass you would bow to me. Now, that is respect. You will bow down to your knees to me and beg for mercy. Once I'm Luna, I will make them do that, and I don’t care whether you want to do it or not. If you don't, then spend some time in the cells. I don't care. I watched her knock on the office door, and then she went inside. Oh, this is just my luck. He had never had me knock on the door; he just wanted me to walk right inside. I bet he has her down on her knees, begging him to take her. I waited a few minutes; I wanted to interrupt anything that was going on in there. No, don't get me wrong. He had never promised me anything; this was just fun for us. But I liked him, and I wanted to be Luna, and I will be. I just need to get rid of her first. I waited a few minutes, and I walked over to the office, opening the door. At first, I thought I heard him growling. He must be growling at her, but I was wrong. I was dead wrong.
"What is it, Rida? What was so important that you had to come in here without knocking and interrupt my time with my mate? You know damn well to knock when I have my door closed. The only one who doesn’t have to knock is my mate."
He had never spoken to me like that before. I was a little taken aback, but I had to play this right. He will learn not to talk to me like this, not when I beat her down at the battle arena, and he has no choice but to make me Luna when the pack will reject her as Luna and then accept me as the one and only Luna. So I played my cards right, saying, "I'm sorry, Alpha. I didn't know the Luna was in here. Maybe I should come back some other time." I walked out of the room, hoping he would stop me and tell me not to leave. But something else happened. I thought everything was out in the open when he started speaking to me. Oh boy, I wanted to smash her face in, but it was just a matter of time. The clock is ticking.
"So, you tell me that you won't say what you wanted in front of me, why not? It’s not like I didn't know you slept with my mate." Her jaw dropped open, but she shut it and recovered quickly.
"He told you?"
No, but you just did that in the past. So, if you came in here to try to do a little drama, it won't work. I know I had a look of shock on my face when she said she knew that he and I had slept together, and she wasn’t even bothered by it. If I were her, I would want to rip my hair out. What was wrong with this woman? Is she crazy or something? But then I had to play the part, and maybe she would take the bait.
I didn't come in here to start drama, Luna. I came in here to ask the Alpha if he found out the date of the battle arena. I was going to sign up with the rest of the pack that wanted to do it. I'm sorry you misunderstood. Maybe you should have waited for me to say what I needed to before you assumed anything. I didn’t like the look on her face. I must have messed up when I spoke out of line. Her eyes changed colors, and then she went back to her blue color. Oh, her wolf was trying to come out.
I am only going to say this one time, Rida, do not disrespect me. You might think you have the right to say anything you want since you've been in this pack, and I haven't. But I will not deal with being disrespected. Cole, would you like to tell this little girl what day the battle arena is before I make her leave?
Rida, do not disrespect your Luna. If you break that rule again, you're going to spend some time in the cells, and I don't care how you feel about it. The battle arena is in two months on a Monday. By the time it comes, we will already have been moved and settled. At the end of this week, all of us will be at my Luna's pack; they are making room for us right now, so be prepared. Make sure everything in your house is packed because the movers will be here at the end of the week to move everything. So my advice to you is, if you want to go with us, then you need to pack, unless you want to stay in a ghost town. You may leave now so I can spend some time with my mate. I opened my mouth to say something, but when I looked up at him to say something, I thought differently; I better not.
Thank you for answering my question; I will take my leave. I'm sorry to interrupt you spending time with your Luna. I hurried out of the office. All I wanted was to grab her by the hair and rip it out; that woman has my man, and I will get him back; she is not my Luna.
