Chapter 5

Addison’s POV

I was in the middle of dreaming when I got awakened by the sounds of my alarm clock. I haven’t turned it off yet because I am still not in the mood to turn it off. After five minutes of listening, I decided to turn it off and I quickly got up from my bed. I directly went to my restroom to fix myself—-after a couple of minutes of fixing myself, I went downstairs to start cooking for the breakfast that I am going to bring to the hospital. 

‘‘Good morning Timmy, yes? Why you call me so early this morning?’’ I asked him after I answered the call. 

While waiting for the answer, I first got the ‘magic sarap’ from the drawer and I went back and put it on the egg. 

‘‘Addie, you are really annoying every morning! You really forgot about what we decided to do this morning?’’ I decided to reminisce about yesterday’s events that happened among us and I realized that we are going to cook here for the breakfast of Mom and Dad—-of course including us. 

‘‘Oh, I am very sorry! Are you already with Annie, isn’t it?’’ I turned off the burner and put the eggs in a container and I put the other one directly on the table; it is for our breakfast. 

‘‘Yes…yes… we’re already heading towards there, gonna hang this call bye!’’ After Timmy dropped the call, I continued preparing the food. 

After I prepared the food, I went directly upstairs to take a bath but before that, I texted them that they can enter our home directly. I do not worry about our decision yesterday ‘cause I know  they bought some food again. I already know their actions when it comes to that, so yeah, I get the things that I need for my bathing session. 

By the way, this afternoon will be the first day of my work. Yes, you read it right, I am already hired—-thanks to Timmy and Annie for helping me to get that work. The Human Resource of the Mclaine family called me last night at 11 PM and I was already sleeping at that time. The hilarious part to that story is that I almost scolded and shouted at the caller, luckily she introduced herself. 

She even told me that I already sent my resume without knowing it was Timmy and Annie who did it. In addition to that, she even told me not to bring clothes since they are the one who will provide everything—-how lucky to be part of that family right? Anyway, after that, I didn’t go back to sleep for almost two hours because of the excitement I felt. 

After a couple of minutes I was already done bathing and when I went down, as I expected, Timmmy and Annie were already here. They are both busy chatting with someone as I have observed to both of them right now. They did not even notice that I was already in front of them. 

"Ahh! A ghost!" Timmy shouted so loud. 

"Stop!" I shouted back. "It's me Addie Timmy! You're just over acting!" I added and headed towards the kitchen afterward. 

I heard them following me, I know they think that I am angry but I wasn't. "If you guys think I am angry, I am not. Too early in the morning to get angry." I looked at them, and they're both speechless. "What?" I asked 

"Addie, did you sleep last night?" This time it was Annie who asked me. "Your eyebags  seem to explode…" she added with a playful tone to her voice. 

"Can we have a seat first?" They nodded and we prepared our breakfast. "Actually, you can blame the HR of Sylvester! She called me at 11PM— almost an hour of negotiating and after that, I didn't get back to sleep for almost two hours," I explained to them the reason why my eyes are like this. 

"Gotcha! I've told you Timmy! I think you like kuya Sylvester?" Annie prankly asked me. 

"W-what no way!" 

"Why are you stuttering?" playfully said by Timmy. 

These folks are crazy, like legit! However, actually I do have a crush on that person, but I won't tell them. I am afraid they might do something crazy once they know that their instinct is right. 

"You guys are really crazy! Let's keep going, Mom and Dad are waiting for us." 

After that short conversation happened, we continued eating our breakfast and afterwards, we directly headed towards the hospital that Sylvester owned also. 

Yes you read it right, their family is the most powerful in Asia when it comes to business, that is why I have no doubts that they can kill me right away. Just kidding! 

"By the way, are you already informed that you're not going to bring too many things of yours there?" I nodded at her while smiling. 

"Yes I was informed by Miss Shantal last night," I answered. 

"You don't need to worry about the people working there, they are all genuine, especially Shantal," she uttered. 

"Really? When I was listening to her last night, I felt like she's strict." 

"Well, that's actually her voice very authoritative but her personality is otherwise." I nodded slowly and I picked my phone since someone texted me. 

When I opened the message it was Miss Shantal, informing me that before 5pm I should be there at the mansion of McLaine. 

After an hour, we already arrived and we quickly went to the designated room of Mommy. By the way, today is also the withdrawal of Mommy since she's already fine. But, there's a lot of medicines that we're going to buy and all of them are expensive. 

"I am very sorry Tita and Tito for bringing your food late." Timmy apologizes. "Here's the food for you Tita and this one's for you Tito. Mommy cooked that," Timmy added. 

I am so happy to have these folks, even their family. No doubt that they were raised by their parents very well. 

"B-by the way Mom and Dad, I'll be working and I will be away from our home," I confessed. 

I never told them about this one. However, I am confident that they will let me work and yeah, I am no longer a child. 

"We already knew about it Honey, your friends told us last night," Dad explained while pouring water.  "If that's what you want, me and your Mom are just here to support you, okay?" I was speechless so I decided to hug them both. 

"T-thank you always Mom and Dad, I'll promise to visit you if I get some time, okay? And you Mom, please take good care of yourself, please don't overworked yourself—take a rest okay?" I said. "Also you Dad, please don't make yourself available all the time, you can be at Mom's side, I'll shoulder all the expenses okay?" Dad nodded as an answer to my statement. 

"Oh how sweet! It seems that Addie is going out of the country and will be gone for so long!" Timmy laughed after saying those words. 

Because of the way he laughed we also laughed and the room filled with so much laughter. After that momentum, we filed the documents needed for my Mom to be released. 

"Hey Tims! I'll leave you here first okay? I am just going to pee…" After seeing Timmy, I quickly walked towards the male restroom. 

As I turned left, I bumped into someone. I closed my eyes because I don't want to feel the pain of falling down. But, a minute had passed and I didn't feel anything so I decided to open my eyes. 

I was shocked since the person I am with right now is Sylvester. 

"Can you please move? You're so heavy!" He authoritatively said. 

Because of the panic I felt for the second time I fell on him. 

"I-I am sorry, I didn't mean to, my apologies…" I bowed my head while apologizing to him. 

"Aren't you going to help me i***t!?" He shouted. 

I mean a kind of shout that few people can only hear. I quickly help him get the thing that helps him stand. I don't know its name. But it was the thing next to the wheelchair. 

"Stupid!" 

After insulting me, he left me dumbfounded. 

"I am not an i***t Mr.! If I don't have a crush on you I already kick your manhood!" I mumbled. 

When I turned my back, I was shocked when someone was looking at me. I smiled awkwardly—this person might think I am crazy. 

That man! Actually, I always acted that I didn't know him since he's so powerful. After that, I went inside the restroom, no one was there except me. You can observe that even the restroom of this hospital is very sophisticated and I couldn't deny it. 

When I was inside the cubicle, I heard footsteps outside. I know someone is out there.  I quickly zipped my pants and flushed the toilet. I calmly went out of the cubicle and I was shocked when I saw Joshua, Timmy's brother. 

"W-why are you here?" I asked him awkwardly. 

I had a crush on him since then and he knew already because Timmy told him the truth that I really do. 

"Nah, wanna visit Tita and Tito, and of course you," he said. 

I couldn't deny that this man always makes me blush and always gives me butterflies.  I passed over him and went to the sink to wash my hands. 

"You don't have work today?" I asked him while washing my hands. 

I saw his reflection in the mirror and I couldn't deny again that this man is really handsome. After I washed my hands I faced him. I saw him smile and he got blush for reasons I don't really know. 

"I bet you forgot what day today is?" I quickly checked my phone and I realized today is Sunday and he doesn't have work. 

"Oh I am sorry, I forgot because of what happened," I answered. "You can even witness that in my eyes, it is swollen…" I added. 

He just smiled at me and my feet trembled when he exposed his dimples. This man really knows my weakness when it comes to him. 

"Can you please stop smiling?" I mouthed. 

I heard his cute laugh—this man is also crazy. I don't know what is happening today. It seems that I was surrounded by crazy folks. 

"Why? I can't stop smiling, especially when I am with you." Boom! The butterflies on my stomach got a party after hearing those words from Joshua.  

"Arg! Stop teasing me Joshua!" 

"I am not teasing you," he said while laughing. "But, anyway even if your eyes are swollen you're still beautiful, honestly," he added. 

"Tsk, I said stop… I bet you really miss me, hmm?" I slowly walked towards him and yeah, the table turned. "Why aren't you talking huh?" I teased him, and he's cute when blushing and speechless. 

When I saw that he's nowhere to go, I hugged him directly. 

"I miss you too…" I said and I smelled him. 

Don't get me wrong guys, I've been doing this since we've become friends. He hugged me back and we stayed for that moment for almost a minute. 

"Can we go back already? I think Mom is ready to go out," I said after we separated. 

He nodded and we left the restroom. While walking back, he opened up about the job that I am going to work with. Before we entered the room, I looked at him first. 

"Don't worry about me, okay? I'll be fine there. I know you can visit and check on me if you're missing me already," I explained with a little laugh. 

"I know, it's just that… you know… you might fall for someone there…" he confessed. 

"Crazy hooman! Let's go." We went inside the room and I helped my parents in packing all the things that we owned.
