Chapter 15

Addison's POV

Today is Monday, and Sylvester is already fine and he can now walk freely without hesitation. And also, today, I am going with him in the company. Well, it is okay for me, since I am going to see David there. I hope he would allow me to do so, knowing that man is bipolar.

I am still inside my room and I am preparing my personal hygiene and other things for myself including my lip tint.

"Come in!" I shouted since someone was knocking on the door. "Oh, h-hello Sir, good morning!" I greeted him. I never thought that he would come here.

"What took you so long?" He asked.

"Sir, you can go there actually, after I prepared all the things I need, I can go there okay?" I replied. "If ever you will wait, then okay Sir, I'll make my move quick," I added.

"What are those things you are putting on your face and your lips?"

Really? This man doesn't know about makeup and lipstick?

"Really S-sir? You didn't know about lipstick and make up?" I asked him.

"Of course not, I know that, what I mean is, why are you using it?" he uttered.

"Sir, if you have a problem with my gender, can you please keep it on your own instead of showing your hatred to me? I might calls you a homophobic if ever? In addition to that Sir, this is my way of expressing myself and you can't do anything about it," I replied.

"And if you're trying to ruin my mood, not now Sir, this is my first time to go with you in the company and please I want to be pleasant in the eyes of other people that is why I am doing this," I even added.

"Why are you so dramatic? I am just asking why are you trying to put that on, we're only going to my company! You really misinterpret my question, for your information I am not against with the third s*x. I do have a lot of cousins who are in relationships with gays and transgender so why would I hate you all?" he explained and I was stunned about it.

"O-okay Sir? I didn't mean to… but is it really true Sir, that you have a lot of cousins who ate in relationships with gays and transgender?"

"Yes, why?"

"Do you still have a cousin who is single?" I asked "Can you introduce me to him? Just kidding Sir!"

"Tsk, please hurry I'll wait for you downstairs!" I nodded and I continued putting the lip tint on my lips.

"Tsk, still looking for someone I am already here in front of you, but still you didn't recognize me!" he mumbled.

"What Sir?" I asked because I didn't hear what he mumbled.

"Nothing, be quick or else?"

I already understand what he told me. You know, if that phrase is being said by him, that only means that he is going to reduce my salary.

After fifteen minutes, finally I am already done. I quickly ran downstairs because I might get fired if I didn't follow him. Despite the negative things I got from him, I will never give up, and this is for my future.

Maybe, you guys assume that success is achieved due to talent, however, few realize that there is a setback in one's success story that leads to one reaching their goals.

For example, an athlete's career can be taken with one just injury, though may not always be the case. Because, as you walk through life, you will fall down many times. You will fail and you will make mistakes, but that’s okay. Keep in mind that life is a process of becoming.

"Finally, you're here, get inside." As he said, I got inside his car and waited for him on the other side. I remain silent because I am still thinking about something that I can apply to myself.

That is why we should not easily give up. Another reason is that you go through life to find yourself, to become yourself. Through every little thing you do, through every word you say and through every action you take, you are meant to discover more and more about yourself. About your inner journey, your life path, and about the purpose and meaning of your own life.

We are all here for a reason. Each and every one of us has a purpose to fulfill. We all have a unique and precious contribution to make to this world. But also to every living being that inhabits this Earth.

Always remember that, the more we let go of our fears, excuses, and limitations, and the need to live our lives according to other people’s expectations, the easier it will be for us to contribute and to do the beautiful work that we came here to do. The easier it will be for us to make our dreams come true. And this powerful video is meant to remind us of that so that we can reclaim our power and make all our dreams come true.

"Why are you so silent?" He broke the silence that was happening between us.

"Nah, don't mind me Sir, I am just having a meeting between me and myself," I answered.

"Crazy hooman…" I just rolled my eyes because of what he said to me.

"It's just that, I am not used to it," he mumbled.

"Used to what?" I asked him.

"Being silent?"

"Sir, I am not in the mood right now. I mean, I don't have the guts to waste my saliva today," I replied.

He just replied 'okay'. See that man is really bipolar. After that conversation we had, I looked outside the window of his car. Checking those things I have seen as we travel towards the company.

Anyway, going back. there is no dead end as such and there is no shortcut in life. What may seem like adversity is actually an opportunity? As failures are the stepping stones to success and “success is counted the sweetest by those who succeed.”

When we are confronted with the idea of giving up at that point of time that helpless situation perhaps is opening new doors for us as life is full of surprises and possibilities.

That is the beauty of life to see the sunshine which brightens our day and fills us with new vigour and strength. Each day is a new day to accomplish new tasks and usher with a new vision. Embrace the moment with tenderness and innocence and life will become a garden of mesmerizing flowers.

Life is to forget and forgive. Move ahead with faith and conviction then only we can realize our dreams. Life will truly unfold its magic and bring good luck and happiness.

So, live life wholeheartedly as this day is yours and tomorrow may be more wonderful.

"Never allow your fears, doubts, excuses, and limitations to get in the way of the beautiful and meaningful life that you are meant to be living. Never give up on yourself. Never give up on your dreams," I conveyed.

"You really are crazy! See, you are talking on your own!" I never noticed that I uttered the last part of my lesson that keeps on popping in my mind. I thought I conveyed those in my mind but I was wrong all along.

"I've told you S-sir, that I am having a meeting with another self," I lied.

I never talked to him again until we reached our destination. Gosh, I was shocked the moment he stepped on his company. Everyone seemed to be silent and everyone was greeting him 'good morning'. From being soft, he is now back again at his poker face and serious mood. Of course, he never forgot to reply.

"Hey Addie! Good morning! Nice to see you again!" It was David who greeted me.

"Hi David, I miss you! It's been a long time since we didn't saw each other? How are you?" We went inside the elevator together with Sylvester who is just listening to us right now.

Ting! The door closed. "Well, I am doing great despite the stressful work I have," he replied. "By the way, the kids miss you and they want to see you again, when will you be free so that we can visit them?"

"I don't know with your cousin." I looked at Sylvester who's still in a serious mood. "Maybe some other time, and I'll call you once I am free, 'cause I don't know yet when will be the day that I am free," I added.

"Can I borrow him, tomorrow Sylv?" David asked.

The door opened and we went directly outside. I don't know why David is with us right now knowing that his office is not the same floor with Sylvester. Maybe he has something to say with him.

"Let's talk about it when we reach my office David," he answered.

Whoa! He is very serious and it is kinda weird because this seriousness of him is really different from when he is inside the mansion and every time I am with him.

"So? Can I borrow Addie tomorrow? We're just going to visit the kids, they really miss us," David asked again.

Meanwhile, I am just sitting looking at them. Both of them are handsome and hunks. I think they have a lot of women, like, exes probably?

"No, we're going to Baguio tomorrow because I have an urgent meeting there." The moment I heard Baguio, my blood boiled and I got energized.

"Really S-sir? We're going to Baguio tomorrow?

"Yes, of course you need to go with me because you are my personal assistant," he affirmed.

"Whoa...whoa...wait! Can I go with you guys?" David asked. "It seems that you guys will explore Baguio hmm?" he derided.

"Okay then, anyway I also need you there, therefore you must go along with us tomorrow," Sylvester replied.

"How about the kids S-sir? Can we bring them?" I make myself cute while saying those words to him.

"Stop doing that, you are not cute!" he said loudly and David laughed because of it.

"Why S-sir? David, I am cute right?"

"Yes you are, I don't know why Sylv is like that, maybe he can't resist your cuteness." Then he laughed again. This man is different from Sylvester.

"No you're not cute, and it doesn't suit you! Anyway we can bring the kids, and you Addison, go to 16th floor and look for Mrs. Kelly and tell her to book us a hotel near the venue of the meeting for tomorrow, okay?"

"Whoa! Thank you so much Sir! I am sure I will enjoy Baguio!" I bid goodbye to both of them and I headed towards the 16th floor.
