I look over at Mason and by the shocked look on his face I know he knows who she is also. I lift Hope’s car seat from the base right as Xavier jumps out of the drivers seat and heads to the woman on the porch. My mom looks back at Charlie sleeping and I can see she’s torn between her anger and Charlie.
“Momma don’t worry Skylar’s coming out with Dennis and some guards to take both he and Hope inside.” And as I’m saying it Skylar appears taking Hope while Dennis takes Charlie. The moment they’re safely inside we catch up to Xavier and Mason as they climb the stairs and stop a few feet from the woman.
