Chapter 3 Gabriel part one

991 Words
Poem: Fated Love Unleashed ... In moonlit woods where shadows dance, Two fated wolves found their chance. Their hearts entwined, forever bound, In a love that destiny had found. . Through rugged wilds, they roamed as one, Underneath the golden sun. Their howls harmonised, a song so pure, A love untamed, forever endure. . In silver nights, they found their peace, Their love's bond would never cease. In each other's eyes, a blazing fire, A love unbreakable, soaring higher. . Together they ran, wild and free, Through hills and valleys, a symphony. True love's embrace, a timeless grace, Fated wolves, forever in love's chase. ... ... Gabriel P.O.V. (Part one) ... ... My infatuation with my future mate was becoming unbearable - all because of my wolf, Grim. It all started two weeks ago, when I woke up after midnight to the sound of someone talking poetry. I knew I had fallen asleep to the sound of the ocean, but not to a podcast about poems. That is when my wolf, Grim, spoke to me for the first time. "Hi, I'm Grim, your - uh - inner wolf. Uh, no other name until further notice. And we have things to discuss." Grim said, sounding unsure of himself. I'm not sure if that was normal when you turned 18 for your wolf to talk to you like this. Grim then elaborated on a short plan from the lady of wolf culture. "Dude, a lady called Moon Goddess Selene told me my fortune, along with the instructions I just gave you. If you have a problem, take it up with her." Grim said in a 'matter-of-fact' tone of voice to me. "Oh, bonus points for us, because she told me our mates will smell like fresh rain mixed with strawberries and mint chocolate. The Moon Goddess just told me a few seconds ago that we can only transform on the same night as our mates." I shook my head mentally as I lay in bed, and said. "Grim, the correct term is called 'shift'." Before I could explain, Grim asked me not to inquire about his past, since the only answer was this: 'First our mates and then the truth, and please don't ask until the time is right'. Moreover, he informed me that he needed time to process my memory which he had scanned while I was sleeping. He also told me that the poetry I woke up to was from one of our mates. Another one he showed me is on i********: and has paintings about wolves with golden red fur. I now have that on my phone as my wallpaper. I even decided to postpone my Alpha ceremony until I find my mate, to receive our title from my parents. . Over the course of those two weeks, Grim and I became good friends. I learned he has a very strong sense of humour and is very sarcastic - so identical to Nathan, my best cousin from a neighbouring pack. During pack training in the early morning, Grim showed me his strength. Told me he used to play football. As he beat the best trainer, Jack Higgins, nothing else was said. That wasn't the worst part, we would get illusions and the scent of our mate's at Silver-crest High School. But we knew not to follow since they only last for five seconds before it's over. Grim was also my rock. He could spot fakers and loyal friends - which meant he was glad I was still a virgin and not a major player like Justin Campbell. Grim commented that 'THAT BOY' smelled like a walking v****a with a wandering eye for his next target. I know werewolves have sharp senses and smell. However, I had to keep a poker face whenever my group and I walked past him and his group. When Grim used our mind link to mention 'Boy Virgina' to the others, we burst into laughter. They even said that my wolf, Grim, is more hilarious than Nathan. It's gonna be sometime in the future when we all have mates that my cousin will challenge Grim to a joke competition. We shake hands to seal the deal. ... Present day... ... ... My alarm set off at 4am in the morning. I was still wide awake, like an energised bunny on a battery of 100% power. Grim's emotion also played a factor on me, keeping me hyped up, unable to sleep. Switching off the alarm, I returned back to my new drawing, while we continued to listen to poetry from our other mate. Letting out a heavy sigh, I can't believe that I am counting the days down to zero when Grim and I will find our mate's - according to Mr Nice Dude, it will be in two days' time. I could feel him pacing at the back of my mind on two legs like a human - can't say a Lycon since they have been dead for the last over two thousand years. Which is also a very sensitive topic if I even mention that single word: 'lycon'. But I had to trust the Moon Goddess for giving me a human instead of a wolf, since Grim is still tight-lipped on the secret behind his human form and history. I had to trust Grim with my life. I practise patience, which is a virtue these days by not asking the unanswered questions that have been floating in a different area of my mind. I had to be a team player as we worked together to reach each step of the Moon Goddess plan for our future. I was also contemplating not training today, but rather buying birthday gifts for them. I was filled with Grim's emotions as he teleported us right inside our mate's room with his powers. I was shocked by his abilities, and knew it must be a Moon Goddess secret. ... ...
