An Alpha's Rejection

Chapter 8

Roman left me in my new room alone, the room was massive, I had a California king bed with silver and purple velvet bedding and pillows on, a silver/grey corner sofa a couple of meters in front of the bed, a 50 inch TV mounted on the wall, the room had an en-suit bathroom and it’s own balcony,

I opened the built in wardrobe, it was full with clothes, I checked the draws they too were filled with clothes, I couldn’t believe it, this room was my dream room.

I decided to take a shower before dinner, as I walk in to the bathroom I notice towels already in on the towel rack and all soaps and shower gels ready to use, I turn the shower on so the water is hot when I get in,

I take off my clothes, put some music on my phone and step in feeling the water wash over me, I start singing to the music, I’m a world of my own, after a while my lips start to tingle and an image of Zach and a blonde girl kissing pops into my head, I couldn't make out her face,  forget it instantly when suddenly my heart feels like its exploding and pain rips through me, Alex whimpers loudly in my head, I scream out loud, I fall to the ground holding my chest,

My bathroom door smashes open, Sienna comes running in grabs a towel and wraps it around me, the pain isn’t easing she holds me tight in her lap,

“Breath Em, breath” Sienna begs, Vincent comes running in and grabs me bridal style and takes me out into the bedroom and places me gently on the bed,

“Sweetheart, look at me, tell me what’s happening?” Vincent orders

“I...i...Don...don’t know my chest… my… heart burns” I try to get out, holding my chest,  the pain stops instantly like nothing happened, I slowly sit up holding the towel around me, taking a deep breath,

“What the hell was that about Em?” Sienna asked concerned, Vince grabs my free hand,

“Sweetheart are you okay?” Vince whispers, checking me over, I’m in a daze

“I don’t know what happened, one minute I was showering and singing out, the next it felt like my heart was being ripped out and then nothing it stopped instantly” I answer, I remembered Alex whimpering,

‘Alex are you okay? What happened?’ I asked her,

‘I’m not entirely sure but it hurt’ she responded

“Alex was in pain too, she isn’t sure what it was all to do with either” I inform Sienna and Vince,

“I bet it has something to do with the mate bond, the rejection and you not accepting it” sienna points out,

“As long as I never feel anything like it again I don’t care what it was!”

“Sweetheart why don’t you get dressed and we’ll head down for dinner maybe we can ask your father what it was” Vince says,

“I’ll get dressed, but I’m not telling Roman, he doesn’t know I have a mate and I’m not ready to tell him..” they just both look at me,

“Oh by the way I almost forgot to mention, when I was talking to Roman earlier, I asked if we could join the pack and obviously he accepted all of us, so welcome home guys” I smiled , Sienna and Vince smiled back then left to wait outside while I got dressed, I put on some black leggings an a baggy top, I leave my hair down to air dry,

when I head out of my room the twins were there as promised, I smile to reassure them I’m okay, we headed down to the ground floor and into the dinning hall, we grabbed some food, and looked around for somewhere to sit, that is when we see Nate and he calls us over to follow him,

We follow him to a table where my Father, Will and Elijah are sat, Roman gestured for us to sit and we all chatted while we ate, I noticed we we’re getting a few odd looks from people in the hall, the Beta notices me looking,

“Don’t worry about them, they just don’t know who you guys are yet” Will reassured me, I nodded understanding it from their point of view,

“Which brings me to my next  part of you joining our pack....” Roman clears his throat “….how about I throw a party introducing you and your friends?” he finishes, I think about it for a moment,

“How are going to introduce me? Just as another new member or as your daughter?” I inquire,

“Well that depends on you, if I introduce you as my daughter that will give everyone the expectation that you’ll be the next Alpha, are you ready for that?”, that caught me off guard I notice Sienna and Vince look at me in the corner of my eye,

‘B*tch you’ve got some explaining to do’ Sienna mind links me, I just smile, well screw it, nothing can be worse than being rejected, it’s going to be a long road and its not like I’m taking over as alpha tomorrow so I’ve got time to learn right?!,

“Yes I’m ready for that, I accept my right to take your place as alpha, only when you deem me ready to” I say confidently, I know everything is changing quickly but this is my life now,

“Very well flower, we'll throw a party tomorrow night, as you’ve probably seen, all your wardrobes are filled with clothes its wont be a formal wear party, but smart wear will be the dress code, it's not everyday I get to introduce my daughter to my Pack” he smiles pride and love radiating off of him,

“Will, Elijah I’ll leave you both to the party planning, for now I need to head back to my office, I’ve got some pack work to catch up on, and I'm afraid it'll keep me busy well into this evening, I will talk to you all tomorrow” he stands up and leaves, Will and Elijah follow him out, leaving  Si, Vince, Nate and I to talk amongst ourselves,

“So you’re next in line to be the Alpha Sweetheart…...I'm so proud of you!” Vince says putting his arm around my shoulder pulling me closer, I notice Nate watching us raising an eyebrow, but I ignore it,

“Yep, turns out I’m Roman’s only child, making me the only heir to the title” I say slightly excited, I'm already imaging the look on Zach's face if we ever meet again,

“I think we should have a movie night and snacks to celebrate!” Sienna squeals,

“YES!!  definitely we’ll watch one in my room seeing it's massive , Nate you are very welcome to join us” I invite him, he nods accepting my invitation, Nate and Vince go to the kitchen to get snacks while sienna and I head to my room to set up a movie,

when we get there sienna closes the door and starts staring at me creepily, what a weirdo!,

“He likes you” sienna spoke,

“Huh, who likes me?” I reply confused

“The Beta’s son Nate, he soooo likes you”

“I don’t think so, he’s just being nice and respectful, I am to be his future Alpha remember” I point out,

“B*tch don’t be silly, I’ve seen the way he looked at you in the office when we first arrived, and when Vince put his arm around you just now, girl he wants a taste!!” she whisper shouts at me with a massive grin on her face, before I could answer her the guys enter the room, their arms filled with junk food and drink.

“What we watching?” Nate inquires, I freeze completely baffled and confused by what Sienna just told me, luckily she answers for me,

“We’re watching Avengers End Game”, they place the snacks and drinks on the coffee table, I take a seat first in the corner of the sofa so I can stretch my legs out, Vince takes a seat next to me putting an arm around the back of me and sienna next to him,

Nate walks over to where my legs are stretched out, he lifts up my legs and takes a seat then places my legs back on down on him, I try to hold my blush but it’s to late

‘Girl he likes you, I told you!, of all places to sit and he has you practically on top of him, you should deffo go for it, you’ve got nothing to lose’ Si mind links me,

‘Stop it, I can already feel myself blushing’ I tell her,

‘OH MY GOD B*TCH, YOU LIKE HIM TOO!!!!!’ she screams in my head in excitement, I wince slightly,

“Hey, you okay? Nate asked,

“Oh yea I’m good thank you, just a small headache” I smile at him, we start watching the movie and I can feel Nate rubbing circles on left leg with his thumb, he seemed to be doing it subconsciously, it was slowly sending me to sleep, after a while I nodded off,

I’m woken up by Nate carrying me bridal style to bed, I look around to see sienna and Vincent had already left,

“Where did everyone go?” I say groggily wrapping my arms around his neck to support myself, he chuckles

“They left 10 minutes ago, I just cleaned up quickly and now putting you to bed before I leave” he replies, I’m in and out of consciousness I’m so tired,

“Oh...okay…. Thank….(yawn).. you”, he places me in the bed and pulls the covers over me tucking me in like I'm 5,

“I've put your phone on charge for you and I’ll close the door on my way out, Good Night Princess” he placed a light kiss on my forehead,

“Good night Prince Charming” I smile before darkness consumes me.

I’m currently in the shower getting ready for tonight's party, the events of last night running through my mind, I called Nate prince charming, oh my goddess!! I cringe at myself, I was so tired I wasn’t even thinking, I brush of the thought and continue to finish my shower,

When I finish I wrap a towel around me and one around my hair. I head into my room, I open my wardrobe I decide to wear a black tailored corset waist jumpsuit, it compliments my curves perfectly, I put on open black stiletto heels to match,

I put my hair up into a messy bun with wispy hair loose at the front framing my face, I apply light make up and top it off with my favourite winged eyeliner,

I take a look in the mirror to make sure everything is perfect, I am proud at the woman looking back, so much has happened lately, and I’ve kept going, it was touch and go for a minute but we’re still standing,

I’m nervous about meeting the entire pack tonight, I know I’m not going to be what they expect but I will be in time,

‘Emily I am proud of you, what ever you do just don’t worry about what other people think, we have a long road ahead of us, but we will get there, together’ Alex says,

‘I won’t, I never will again’ I smile at her, I grab my phone and head out,

I head down the hallway to Sienna’s room, I’m about to knock when I hear footsteps behind, I turn to look and see Nate walking towards me, and he looked HOT!

“You look Beautiful princess” he compliments me, I blush slightly,

“Thank you, you don’t look to bad yourself” I smile, he winks at me, he keeps walking past and starts descending the stairs, I watch as he disappears, all of a sudden a hand grabs me and I’m drags me into Sienna room, the door slams shut, I look to see Vincent and Sienna looking at me strangely,

“You look beautiful princess” Si mimics Nate, we all giggled,

“I told you he likes you girl!, what happened after we left last night?” she interrogates me,

“At least he isn’t blind like that D*ck Zach” Vince remarks, there is a slight pinch in my chest at the mention of Zach’s name,

“Nothing happened last night he just carried me to bed and said good night, that's it” I left out the part where he kissed me on my forehead, they’d go crazy over it, I chuckle to myself imagining their reaction.

“Anyway, why are we still up here, we have a party to attend” I change the subject quickly,

Sienna finishes up getting ready while Vince and I chit chat, when she finished we head down stairs, as we hit the bottom of the stairs I notice Vince stop and he stiffens,

“Vincent, are you okay?” I ask slightly concerned, he looked confused

Vincent’s P.O.V

“Vincent, are you okay?” I could hear Emily ask, I’m to focused on this intoxicating smell, my wolf Bruno is going crazy,

“EARTH TO VINCENT!” sienna starts waving her hands in my face, I grab her hands,

“Will you stop that, I’m fine... I just got a headache, I’m just going to go back to my room and get some pain killers, you girls go ahead I’ll be there in a minute” I say, I want them gone so I can find out what's going on with me,

“We’ll come with you” sienna offers,

“NO!, go to the ball room I wont be long now”, the girls give me a strange look then shrug and walk off, once they are out of sight I turn around back up the stairs and head towards the third floor,

I’m nearly at my room when I hear someone behind me, the smell of vanilla and chocolate now prominent in the air, it smells delicious , my wolf is howling in my head, my senses are overwhelmed,

I take few more steps when a hand touches my shoulder, my reflexes kick in, I grab the person by the throat pinning them against my bedroom door,

Instantly I feel sparks pricking at my skin, the sensation is amazing, I look in to the mans eye's, they're crystal blue with a twinkle to them...'beautiful', his pearl white teeth showing as he’s smiling at me, my heart is beating a thousand times faster now, then I hear Bruno
