An Alpha's Rejection

Chapter 6

I started stirring and feeling uncomfortable, I opened my eyes, and it was morning, I noticed the trees were zooming past, we had been driving all night,

I could hear the car radio, it was low probably not to wake me, then I hear Si and Vince talking, I kept my eyes closed so they don't notice I'm awake yet,

“We need to show her how to defend herself and fight Vin, I keep thinking what if she had already of left before telling us, she wouldn’t have been able to protect herself, what if a rouge found her!” Sienna vocalized,

“I know Si, but she did tell us, so stop thinking what if, we’ll see if she wants training but do not force her to do anything she doesn’t want to do, I know you love her like our sister I do too, but she has clearly been through something, we both know she wouldn’t do something this extreme without reason” Vincent replied.

“I don't understand why she never learned, she never gave me an answer when I've asked in the past, but if this has anything to do with Celine, I will kill her!!”

“It has nothing to do with Celine Si” I interrupted while sitting up into an upright position.

“Good morning Sweetheart, how you feeling?” Vin asked,

“I don’t know how to answer that right now, I’m still......numb”

“Em, what happened last night?” Si interrogated,

“Can we get some food before I explain anything, I'm starving” trying everything I can to not have this conversation just yet, I know I owe them both an explanation, but to relive it so soon after it all happening doesn’t sound that appealing to me.

After another 30 minutes of driving, we came across a cute little dinner, Vince pulled up, we got out and headed inside and the smell of pancakes overwhelmed my senses, then it hit me I hadn’t eaten since lunch time yesterday.

We took a seat at one of the booths in the far corner, so it was more private, Si sat next to me while Vincent was opposite us, the waitress came over, she took our food and drinks order and went to fetch them.

I could feel both of them staring at me waiting for an explanation. It was now or never I guess, 'suck it up butter cup' I thought inwardly.

“Well last night I found my mate” I just put it out there, I looked at Vince, he knew my mate was at the party, but now his facial expressions held questions.

“What!” Si stated confused not sure whether to be happy or not,

“He rejected me when he realised who I was, he said I wasn’t fit to be his mate” I continued, Vincent looked shocked, and Si looked baffled,

“Oh, my Goddess, Sweetheart, I’m sorry” Vince was not impressed,

“Don’t be, I was stupid to think he could ever want me” self-pity wasn’t a good look, but I didn’t care right now,

“Em, who is your Mate?” Sienna enquired, I could already see her planning to beat the sh*t out of them,

“Zachary Black” I barely finished as Sienna gasped, then Vincent chucked I looked to see what as so funny and he quickly answered,

“I'm not laughing at you Sweet, it's just your brother stormed into the ball hall last night, he did not look impressed, this happened just after Zach had been made Alpha, he walked straight up to Zach and punched him straight in the face...” I was shocked at what Vincent had just told me,

"Well deserved too, I can't believe I missed that!!" Si interrupted, 

“…. the Alpha was about to hit him back for disrespecting him, but froze when Levi shouted, “it’s your fault she’s gone she left because of you”, Zach stopped instantly didn’t let Levi finish and ran out, I didn’t put two and two together until now, it is so obvious” he finished,

“That Explains why Zach showed up at the house before I left. But he isn’t the only reason why I left, my Mother had lied about who my real father is, turned out the man who raised me my entire life isn’t my dad, my Dad is actually the one and only Alpha Roman” I gave them the short version, they didn't need to know the entire ins and outs of it.

When I’d finished explaining the waitress arrived with our food, we waited for the waitress to leave before we talked further.

“Holy sh*t Em, you’re not only Mated to an Alpha but a daughter of one!!, My best friend is pure Alpha blooded” Sienna whisper shouted completely gob smacked,

“No, I’m not mated to one, he rejected me” I corrected her,

“Did you accept his rejection?”

“No, I renounced my position in the pack and my claim to be Luna”.

“Then until you accept it out right Em, he’s still your mate”, I rolled my eye at her she can't be right.

‘She’s right Em, he’s still ours until we accept’ Alex agreed with Si,

‘Great just when I thought it was going to get easier, anyway how you holding up Alex?’ I questioned her knowing it is hurting her so much more than me, at least his wolf wanted her.

‘I’ll live, I miss Axel already though, but I understand why you did what you did, I don’t blame you’ I can feel her sadness. 

“Sweetheart, what is the plan from here on out? Vincent asked, bring me back to earth,

“Well, I want to find out where I came from, so I guess we should head to the Blood Moon Pack so I can meet my Father”.

“Sweetheart we can't just stroll into the territory we’ll get killed” he said worried, I took a minute to think of a plan, I pulled out the picture Mom gave me I needed to know this man.

“We’ve got to try, please!” I pleaded with them,

“Of course, we'll try Em” Sienna interrupted wrapping her arm around my shoulders, we finished up our food paid our bill and got back in the car,

We decided to stay in a motel for the night so Vincent could catch up on sleep after driving all night, and so he could rest before we headed off to meet Alpha Roman.

It didn’t take long to find a place to stay, we booked a room got our stuff and headed in the room, inside was a double bed and a single bed, Vin dived straight on to the single bed and was flat out in seconds, Si and I chuckled at how cute he looked letting out little snores.

The day was getting on, so I decided to take a shower and relax my aching muscles, while sienna went to stretch her legs,

when I was done, I got dressed, I came out and noticed the sun was starting to set I was in there for a while, Vincent was now awake looking through his phone,

“Hello sleepy head” I teased and giggled so did he,

“Well, I didn’t get my beauty sleep last night!” he joked making me laugh harder,

With that Sienna came through the door, she had takeaway pizza for us all, we set up a movie we decided to watch Aqua Man, we all cuddled up on the double bed with me in the middle, it was like we were at home having a sleep over, except this time we weren’t home.

When it finished it was barely 10 o’clock, Vince climbed back into his bed and Sienna went for a shower, I realised that I hadn’t charged my phone, I plugged it in and when it powered up it instantly started blowing up with messages and missed calls from Mom, Dad and Levi.

I wasn’t ready to speak to any of them yet, everything was so fresh, I did the decent thing and sent Mom a quick text,

“Hey, I’m okay, I’m not alone so don’t worry, and I’ll be in contact in a few days, I can’t talk right now, please tell Dad and Levi I will contact you all soon xx”.

“Honey I’ll never stop worrying about you, I love you xx” she replied,

with that I put my phone down and got into the double bed, staring at the ceiling,

‘Alex do you think we’re doing the right thing by going to meet my real Father?’

‘Emily it has been a rough 24 hours for the both of us, it’s about time you got answers for everything, you're owed that, we both are’.

‘I Don’t want any more disappointment; I don’t think I could handle it’.

‘You are so much stronger than you know, we have alpha blood running through our veins you felt that power last night’.

“Emily, are you okay?” Sienna asked getting in next to me,

“Yea I’m just nervous about meeting my Father, but not only that, I heard you both in the car earlier, I agree with you, I want you both to train me, I think it’s about time I learnt to fight”.

“Of course, we will train you Em, we’ll start as soon as we get the Blood Moon Pack how does that sound?” Sienna replied.

“It sounds perfect” I smiled, things will change, I will be more independent! I’ll recreate myself and be so much better, I don't need no Mate!

“Girls shhhssss!!!, I need my beauty sleep, I’ve got a lot of driving to do tomorrow” Vincent joked, sienna throw a pillow at him.

“Shut up princess and go to sleep then!” she uttered, I giggled at the both of them, they’re like children sometime, you wouldn’t think they are both almost a year older than me. We turned the light out and went to sleep.

We were all woken up by our 6 o’clock alarm, we wanted to get a head start, we were a 7 hour drive away from Alpha Roman’s pack and we wanted to be there early, we packed our stuff and got on the road.

I decided to make this a little more fun, we blasted the radio up and sang to our hearts content, we stopped at a gas station to top up on gas and get some snacks on the way to keep us going.

After a while I looked at the time and realised, we weren’t far off and I started getting nervous,

‘Relax Em we’ll be fine I promise” Alex reassured me, I smiled at her. With that Vincent bought the car to a stop down a dirt road behind a tree line,

“We’re at the boarder Sweetheart, are you ready?” Vincent announced, I took a deep breath,

“Let’s do this” feeling confident all of a sudden, we opened the car doors got out and walked to where we could sense the boarder the minute we approached, three wolves and a man came racing towards us, they stopped a few yards ahead of us,

“You have no business here rogues, I suggest you turn around if you want to keep breathing!” the man stated, he had blue eyes he must be my Fathers Beta or Gamma, but he seemed so young, one of the wolves growled,

“We’re not here to cause hassle, I’m here seeking my Father” I replied,

“I don’t care what you seek you will not do it here”, before I could say anything else two of the three wolves launched forward and I heard clothes ripping, I knew sienna and Vincent had shifted and jumped straight in front of me to protect me, they were scrapping with the 2 of the wolves, I noticed the man was still stood in front of me but the third wolf had disappeared, panic set in, I looked around franticly trying to locate the wolf,

Vincent was fighting the best he could he was stronger than I realised, he had already pinned down one of the wolves and Sienna was still going, biting and nipping at the wolf almost like she was playing with him, she was enjoying this, all of a sudden, I'm grabbed from behind and thrown backwards, I yelped out as I'm flung at a tree,

This distracted Sienna and Vince, this gave they're attackers an opening and they took it, both were pinned down within seconds, 

The wolf that had thrown me was in front of me started stalking me, I tried to stand back up, guilt started setting in, this was my fault Vin warned me this would happen, I was getting angry that I was stupid again, then just like that I felt a surge of power through me, 

Alex prompted me to use my Alpha tone I keep forgetting I have one, I growled at the wolf and the floor vibrated everything stopped even the wolves behind, the wolf in front of me cowered slightly, confusion all over his face as to why he reacted that way, I went to say something when I was interrupted,

“ENOUGH” the command was riddled with power it sent chills down my spine, I looked towards Vince and Sienna desperately trying to make sure they were okay, the wolves who had them pinned down moved off,

“WHY WAS I NOT CALLED SOONER!! These are members of the Blue Moon Pack not rogues can't you smell them” the man was pi**ed, I knew who it was, I didn't need to look to know it was Alpha Roman,

"Will someone please explain what you are doing on my boarder?" he demanded the question directed at us, Sienna and Vince's wolves walked backwards towards me, one stand either side ready to go again if needed,

I looked towards my father, when he sees me, his facial expression softened,

“Emily?” love and confusion filled is voice,

"Hi Dad, it's nice to finally meet you" I smiled awkwardly at him........
