An Alpha's Rejection

Chapter 4

I’m looking around franticly to see if I can see him, when Levi put his hand on my shoulder,

“Sis, are you okay? you look a little pale” he commented looking a little concerned, I look towards Mom, Dad and Vincent, they too hold a look of concern on their faces,

“Ummm...I... I thi. I... think” unable to finish my words.

“Oh Goddess she’s finally lost the plot, Em spit it out!!” Levi encourages while trying to lighten the atmosphere, I look at him and then straight into Mom’s eyes,

“I can smell my Mate, he’s here” I answer, everyone went wide eyed,

“Where is he Honey?” Mom asks with excitement in her voice,

“I'm not sure but I can smell him, my wolf she says he’s here, I’ve just got to find him……. Wait!! Oh Goddess, what if he doesn't want me? what if he doesn't like what he sees?, what if he rejects me?” I start panicking, Levi wraps his arms around me to comfort and calm me,

“Em, he’d be a stupid f*cker if he can’t see how perfect you are. You hear me, and beside just tell me and I will sort him out” he chuckled, I start to calm down, Vincent came over and put his hand on my lower back,

“Let’s all just go inside, we'll find Sienna, you can tell her the exciting news Sweetheart”,

“Yes, we can't stay outside the pack house all night, let’s move!” Dad motioned for all of us to move.

As we entered the pack house, we made our way to the ball room, the smell was getting stronger, my wolf wanted out now, but I couldn’t let her not just yet, we had to find our mate first, after an internal debate as to whether I should or not, I decided to go and find him, I turn to Vincent,

“Vin, I’m just going to go to the toilet quick, go find Sienna and I’ll catch you up.” I said.

“You sure sweetheart, I can come with and wait outside” he responded,

“No, I’m fine honestly” I reassured him smiling, he nodded,

“Let me know when you find him” he winks and smiles already knowing my intentions, he walked into the crowd of people, I turn to leave the ball room and follow the sent, it takes me down a long-deserted hallway. 

The scent was starting to get stronger, I was getting closer to revealing my Mates identity, the hallway leads me to a set of double doors that goes out to the Pack House gardens.

I pushed open the double doors and walk to the water fountain no more than twenty metres ahead.

I could smell him, it was the strongest it’s been and yet I couldn't see him, Alex whimpers, disappointment starts to kick in for me too, maybe I was just a little too late, I turn around to head back inside, when a hand grabs my wrist and instant sparks explode all over my skin where he’s holding me,

I turned to look to see who it was and before I could he pulled me towards him and our lips collided, it started soft and slow, he released my wrist to place a hand on my waist and his other hand snaked into my hair, sending both sparks and shivers up and down my spine, I naturally placed a hand on his chest and the other on his cheek, he pulled me closer so we were completely pressed up against each other, while deepening our kiss, he licked and nipped my lower lip asking to have access, I responded by opening my mouth granting him that access, I could feel my core start the dampen my underwear, I could feel his chest vibrate as he chuckled, I knew he could smell my excitement, I moaned into our kiss wanting more,

I broke the kiss after few seconds to catch my breath, while my mate placed feather light kisses down my neck making his way to my sweet spot, the spot where he would mark me as his, the sensation was amazing, he slowly came to a stop, my wolf is going crazy she’s so excited and already wanting more.

I can feel his hardened member pressed up against my abdomen, he wants me and wants me right now, I wouldn’t deny him that either, I'm putty in his hands, I’ve waited so long to be able to find my Mate. I thank the Moon Goddess for allowing this to happen so soon. 

He held his head in the crook of my neck and inhaling my sent, I feel him relaxing and grip me just a little tighter as if he's afraid I'll run away, that thought alone making me smile, I feel wanted, my insecurities begin to fade away.

I couldn’t believe it, my first kiss, it was with my mate, I’ve saved all my firsts for him, and I still don’t know who he is or what he looks like, as if reading my mind, he broke the silence still holding on,

“What is your name Darling?” his voice was sexy and deep, it completely made me weak at the knees, he tightened his grip to prevent me from falling, thank the goddess, I realise I still haven’t answered his question,

“Are you going to make me guess Darling.... (He chuckled) .... I’m up for playing a game” he teased playfully, I giggled.

“My name is Emily Veronica Pugh daughter of our packs Beta what’s yours?” I replied, still hypnotised by his sent, when he suddenly stiffens, once I felt this, I instantly had a bad feeling start to set in, I closed my eye scared to see his reaction, he slowly pulls away and steps back, I whimper at the loss of contact wanting him just to touch me, to hold me and never let go.

“Emily… you can’t…. we can’t…...Damn it!!” he starts unable to complete a sentence, tears already starting to fill my eyes, I already know what is coming next, he thinks he knows who I am, he listened to everyone, all the rumours, I accidentally let out a little sob.

“Emily, look at me” he demands, I open my eyes and I see who is stood in front of me, I couldn't believe my eyes, my heart skips a beat when I look straight into his hazel eyes, my wolf howling in my head she likes what she sees, he’s 6’4”, dark brown hair styled just perfectly.

His suit doesn't leave much to the imagination at all, he’s clearly well-built and strong, his face is carved by the Moon Goddess herself, the moon light brightens his face just perfectly, and reality starts to hit me the man stood before me isn’t just any pack member, it is none other than Zachary Xavier Black, the Alphas son, future Alpha to the Blue Moon Pack, and my childhood crush.

I just stand and stare, his eyes glazed over, he’s mind linking someone, but who? after a couple of minutes of awkward silence I speak first,

“Zee…. you’re my mate?” I questioned, it was meant to be more of a statement but I'm shocked, happiness started to take over my uneasiness, the boy who protected me when we were younger is my Mate. I couldn't help but smile.

“Don’t call me that Emily, and I’m not your mate and you are not mine” I can see his eyes go red he is fighting his wolf for dominance, my smile is instantly wiped from my face, Alex starts to whimper at the back of my mind, she's hurt, I’m hurt, how could he say that, again like reading my mind he answers,

“You Emily are weak, you don’t even have a wolf, you are not fit or strong enough to be my Luna or the Packs Luna, you can't fight how do you expect to protect the Pack! I will never belong to you! You are not my MATE!!”

I take a step back, Alexandra is howling in pain, my heart is breaking, when what was said next will prove what I’m feeling is nothing compared to what I’m about to feel.

“I Zachary Xavier Black, Future Alpha of the Blue Moon Pack, Reject you Emily Veronica Pugh as my Mate and Luna” he stated.

The second he finished that sentence the pain cut through me like a knife and I screamed out in agony I covered my mouth to muffle it with my other hand holding my chest, I see him step forward but immediately stop, it looks as if he’s having an internal battle with himself, but I'm too distracted to care.

I feel numb the pain is too much, I feel faint, my body is starting to fail me, then Alex starts to push to the surface my wolf is hurt and pi**ed, she wants out now, I close my eyes so he can’t see them change colour.

Tears now pouring down my face, I just needed to calm Alex and me down so I can explain everything to him about me, my wolf, everything. But it was too late, the damage was done.

“Emily, accept my rejection, NOW!” he demands using his Alpha voice, except it has no effect, I don’t understand it should have worked but it didn’t, and he notices that it’s had no effect.

I couldn’t fight Alexandra any more my will was too weak, she has full control, there is nothing I can do, except just sit back in the corner of my mind and watch, the look on Zach’s face tells me he just realised my wolf is very much real,

“Emily your eyes…. They’re purple” he gasps in shock.

When our wolves take over our eye colour changes to indicate our wolves are the ones in control, Red eye indicate you’re an Alpha or future Alpha, Beta and gammas are blue, every other wolfs are golden yellow, I never understood why mine were purple, but I loved that it was different but meant I needed to keep them hidden.

Alex ignores his observation, she’s still very much pi**ed and wants answers and she wants them right now.

“How Dare you reject us, how dare you use your alpha tone on us, Your Mate!, I demand to speak to Axel, I want him to answer for his human’s actions!!” she shouts at him, his eyes changing from hazel to red and back again he’s starting to struggle with his wolf, his wolf must be pi**ed that we are talking back and being disrespectful. But wait who is Axel.

‘No, he's not pi**ed Em, his wolf is Axel, and he wants us, I’ve spoken to him already, his human counterpart is rejecting us but will not say why!’  Alex answers my thoughts and blocks me out instantly before I can ask anything else,

I mind link Mom to come find us in the pack house garden quick, we need her help now, Alex Steps towards Zach ready to shift to cause some damage, but I know she won’t cause too much damage though, we aren’t strong enough to take on a normal wolf let alone an alpha, then we hear a familiar voice shout,

“Emily Veronica Pugh, that is enough” the voice says, Alex turns the double door, and my mother is stood there she’s taken back by what she sees,

“Alexandra give Emily back control, you aren’t going to resolve anything by attacking the Alpha's son”.

Alex turns back to Zach and glares at him, then she gives me back control of my body, I collapse to the floor, I look up at Zach and all I can see is disappointment in his eyes as he walks away, he stops for a moment but doesn't turn around.

 “Emily, I don’t want to see you again..." he sighs before he continues, “.... you’ll learn to accept the rejection eventually, when you do life will be easier for the both of us” annoyance seeping through, he didn’t even have the decency to look me in the eye when he said it, but with that said he walks inside. 

I'm frozen unable to process what just happened.......
