An Alpha's Rejection

Chapter 3

When I got home no one was here, so I decided to jump in the shower having my music play in the background, I stepped into the shower and let the water wash away all my worries and insecurities for now.

I washed my hair with my favourite strawberry and cream scented shampoo taking my time to massage my scalp, once I rinsed it off, I washed my body with a similar scented body wash making sure to clean all the grime off of my skin,

When I eventually got out of the shower the steam in the air was thick making it impossible to see myself in the bathroom mirror. I grabbed my towels of the rack and wrapped my hair and body up, and headed to my room,

When I got there, on the bed was a beautiful Emerald coloured dress, with a note on it, ‘Happy Birthday Honey, Love Mom and Dad xx’ it read, making me smile, I’m not one to wear dresses I prefer my skinny jeans and a baggy T’s, but this dress was beautiful.

I went to my underwear drawer to find something nice and matching when Alex interrupted me,

‘Pick out something sexy, so if we find mate tonight, he can have a bit of a treat’ she giggled in my head,

‘I’m already on it although I don’t know who would want to see me naked” I joked back; some truth hidden behind it.

‘Em listen to me now, and I’m not saying this because you’re my human but because it is true, you are beautiful and stunning, you have curves in all the right places any wolf or man in his right mind wouldn’t be able to keep his hands off you, he would be so lucky to have you” I blush at her statement, I don’t know how I was so lucky to have a wolf like her,

‘Because I’m just totally amazing’ she responded to my thought, I giggled out loud, Once I found a perfect set a black lace thong and a matching black bra, I put them on, I applied some makeup but kept it natural, I added winged eyeliner to accentuate my eyes, I dried my hair and decided to keep my natural curls over straightening it.

Once I was happy with how I looked in my dresser mirror, I walked over to the bed where the dress had been placed, I put it on and put on some black suede heels,

The dress was stunning, it hugged my curves in all the right places it had a v-line cut at the front showing just the right amount of cleavage and it stopped just above my knees, I looked in my full-length mirror shocked at who was looking back, I looked like a completely different person.

‘Beautiful’ Alexandra stated, I mentally smiled at her when there was a knock at the door,

“Can I come in Em” Levi asked,

“Yea”, Levi came in covering his eyes,

“Don’t worry I’m decent” I giggled, he was dressed in a suit and tie that was the perfect fit for him, but when I looked back up at his face, he looked stunned,

“Wow Em, you aren’t my little sister any more, you look so grown up, you look beautiful” he complimented me, I smiled and looked back at the mirror,

“Uugghhhuu .... I was hoping to have a fun night, now I’m going to spending it fighting off horny unmated male wolves from my sister” he teased while facepalming,

“Shut up Levi” we laughed together, Levi then pulled a small black velvet box out from his jacket pocket and handed it to me,

“This is for you Em, it’s my present to you for your birthday.... I hope you like it” he said, when I opened it up there was a beautiful emerald heart shaped stone inside a gold case on a gold chain, on the back was the engraving ‘little sister’,

“Levi, this is beautiful, thank you so much” I said hugging him and he returned my hug.

“Will you help me put it on please?” I carefully pulled it out from the box and handed it over for him to put it on me, once he had it round the front of me, I lifted my hair so he could clip it in at the back,

“There, all done” he stepped back, I walked over to the mirror to see it matched the same shade of green as my dress, it was perfect. I couldn’t take my eyes off it when I heard someone calling,

“Kids come on, we’re about to leave, I hope you’re both ready, we cannot be late” Dad called from the front door, Levi went down first.

I went to my wardrobe to grab my black shawl with gold glitter and wrapped it around my shoulders and arms, when I arrive downstairs all the chatter fell silent, Levi was watching and smiling at Mom and Dad’s reaction, they looked taken aback, I swear I even saw a tear in my Dad’s eye.

“Sweet-pea, you look absolutely beautiful” My Dad said, my Mom was Speechless and tearing up,

“Thank you, Daddy, Mom are you okay?” I asked slightly concerned as I reached the bottom of the stairs, she came over and wrapped her arms around me,

“Aww Honey you are so beautiful, our baby girl is all grown up, if you find you Mate tonight, he is going to have a heart attack” she said her voice shaky trying not to let it crack, I could see Dad raise his eyebrow in the corner of my eye, she pulled away from our hug.

“Mom you have amazing taste, and Levi with this beautiful necklace” I smiled at her, my phone then went off making everyone to come to their senses and start making their way to the car.

Once in the car I checked my phone, there was a message from Vincent,

‘Hey Sweetheart, I’ll be waiting outside the pack house for you, Vin xx’.

“Just to let you guys know I’ll be going in with Vincent when we get there, and we’ll be meeting Sienna inside” I made everyone aware,

“Okay Sweetpea, if he tries anything you don’t like, I’ll make him regret it” my Dad threatens Levi hums in agreement,

“Trust me Dad you’ve got nothing to worry about” I replied then mind linked Dad so only him and I could communicate,

‘Just between you and me, to put your mind at ease, Vincent and I bat for the same team’, he looks at the rear-view mirror, he nods and smiles at me, I can trust my dad with everything, which is why it hurt I couldn’t tell him the whole truth behind my wolf, he knows I have a one, but he thinks I’m incapable of shifting.

Before long we made it to the pack house and Dad parked up, we all got out and walked over to the steps outside the main doors, there was every pack member here, all dressed up to welcome our new Alpha.

As we got closer there was a scent that I couldn't quite put my finger on, the closer we got to the doors it got stronger and the amazing smell of cinnamon and fresh rain overpowered my senses, Alex started getting restless in my head, I could feel her pacing.

“What’s that smell?” I curiously asked looking around to find the source,

“Sorry I just let rip” Levi replied, Dad and I laughed as Mom just glared at him, he quickly flinched and moved far away from Mom as quick as he could,

“I’m only joking, sorry, Em I’m not sure what you’re on about” he quickly responded, I was sniffing constantly, everyone now giving me strange looks.

“It smells like Cinnamon…. (I inhale again) ….and fresh rain, it’s intoxicating”.

Before anyone could say anything, Vincent walked over to us, and greeted us all shaking my Dad’s hands, and greeting everyone else, I wasn’t paying attention to what they were talking about.

Alexandra was even more restless, that smell has put me in a daze like trance, the next thing I hear is my Wolf she screams in excitement,

‘Mate he’s here’ my eyes widen in shock....
