MEMORY PART 7: BLISS AND BLOSSOM

709 Words
DANES P. O. V We saw each other a few more time, each time a little bit more magical than the last as our love blossomed. Yes I said it correctly 'love'. We fell and we fell deep. I haven't been quite myself since I have met her. From being so much against getting married to actually dreaming about her adorned in bridal wear adding to her untouchable beauty, walking down the isle towards me. She is the girl that I want to introduce to my parents, she is the girl that I can spend the rest of my life with as it will still count as a life well spent. Last weekend we had a picnic on the beach which was kind of a disaster as the wind tried to chase us away and our beach umbrella refused to stand to offer us shade. I could see the disappointment in her eyes which built determination in me to sort out the problems and make this date worth her time. I couldn't stand to see her sad or disappointed, it was heart-breaking. While we were on our beach picnic she mentioned a party that she had to attend. She asked if I could accompany her and I jumped at the opportunity because of three main reasons. One: I couldn't stand picturing her dance with someone else even if it's at a family event, 2. I didn't want to disappoint her and 3. Every moment spent with her was magical. After agreeing to accompany her to the party I've also agreed on dinner with her parents as I didn't want to meet them for the first time at the party. And.... Today was that day. Excitement has been building up in my veins from the moment I opened my eyes at the c***k of dawn. Meeting her parents will make us official and I'm ecstatic to be meeting the people who brought this angel into the world, because without her I would have still been surrounded by my darkness unconsciously. It was 5pm when I pulled in their drive way. Their front door opened welcoming me inside. My excitement overcame my nerves as I shook hands with her dad and brother as well as returned a friendly hug to her mum. My entrepreneur side came out as my eyes landed on her and another wave of realization hit me that this is my one shot that I had to impress them and they have to accept me. I began to think of it as a business deal, I am always confident and successful when making them and planned to be so in this situation as well. Dinner was served at 6 and her mum asked me questions such as what do I do? What are my hobbies? How often do I travel? etc. We got on extremely well as her mind set was as witty as mine. Her dad on the other hand had not much to say except for one or two questions or a comment. I was pleased with the way in which I have presented myself. I have won them over and could add this to my list of successful deals. After dinner I took Jeena for a drive along the coast. It was amazing with the stars in the sky and ships in the ocean with their twinkling lights. I loved seeing her this way. The look she had in her wondrous eyes as she was deep in her thoughts while taking in the view in front of her was breath taking. I knew that she would one day achieve great heights, reading her I realized that she is not a person who would settle for the shallow, she seems like one who will try with every breath in her body to make the impossible possible and that's what made her perfect for me. I stopped the van and we both jumped off as we stood, she lost in the view in front of her, me lost in the view of her. As the ocean breeze blew through our hair I put my arms around her and pulled her against my chest. She looked up at me and gave me that smile which lights up my entire world.
