Chapter 28"About the meeting?" Ace stalked to the fridge and pulled out a beer.
"Among others like that girl." Veronica spat.
"I think the meeting went quite well. It could have gone ten times worse than that." Ace took a swing of his beer.
Veronica"s eyes formed a deep frown, "Your father"s furious and your mate was attacked!"
Ace grunted at the lies that so casually tumbled out of her mouth. Rick wasn"t his father and Cora wasn"t his mate no matter how much they lied to each other. Ace wished Veronica would stop referring to Rick as his father they bother knew he wasn"t.
"Cora's fine," Ace mumbled.
Veronica shot him daggers. "Is there something going on with you and that girl? I know you were in her house."
"What does that have to do with anything?" Ace shrugged.
