David was sweating for sure, this was a rather unwelcome development and he was quite scared. Not just because of the threat that lizard embodied, but because of the threat this woman was to him. But with a look that intense, David did not dare hide anything. He told her everything, from the moment he met Ahmed, his death, his confrontation with the lizard, the sinking island, being chased by a giant bat and all the way till the shark took a bite out of her arm and taking her son as free lunch.

He had every intention of not telling her about the lizard especially when he thought it was dead due to the wave. If the lizard was already dead Lilith would kill him without a doubt, but with the lizard still alive David had two people who wanted his life, but how the hell was it still alive.

“So you are telling me that a lizard with mind control power has a Vendetta against you because you killed a man under its control.”

David nodded in affirmation.

“So you’re telling me my son died, because you practically took an animal’s toy away.”

David did not dare nod for fear of loosing his head. But his silence was more than enough to answer that question. Though David had no idea how that lizard made it through the pulse gate, but the danger it imposed could cause quite a lot of damage and loss of lives. Lilith flexed her hands and her diamond fist glowed red as it was super heated to intense temperatures. The parasite was roasted and in seconds it was nothing but ash that fell from her hands.

“Do you have any idea where that lizard could be hiding. If you do, it would be better for us to take it out now to prevent any unforeseen tragedies in the future.”

“No I don’t, but even with that said, I’m not sure either of us can afford hanging around Barigga for much longer. If those soldiers we met at the pulse gate are still alive, then it would be a miracle of we’re still alive when they catch up to us. We need to keep moving.”

David was right, the twelve and soldiers never really liked it when someone undermined their authority and orders. And with Lilith and by association David’s actions at the pulse gate, they would most probably be bumped to the top of the wanted list. David needed to keep moving if he wanted to keep his ass out of jail and alive, the military had no qualms with executing him without a trial.

“You need to fix the hover bike then. And you should do it fast, those soldiers are probably already here.” Lilith said to him.

David nodded his head as he set to work, he brought down the tent, and brought out some food for Lilith and the tortoises to eat. After a rather bland breakfast David set to work, thankfully non of the circuits were fried and its flight mode command chip only went offline. Fixing it did not take David anymore than ten minutes, the only problem he had was there fact that he left the engine running through the night, and all of the power cells were empty, courtesy of Mr. Energy sucking parasite. After a good charge, there should be ready to go, but a commotion from the town drew their attention.

David made his way to the town entrance and made his way back with an even faster speed. The soldiers, well what was left of them anyway were ransacking the town. David did not need an announcement to know that this guys were looking for him and Lilith. He thought he had more time, but he did not. They had to leave now.
