"We have to help them....." little miss Abby said in a whisper. You would think that this little girl could have never been the child I saved not long ago. Ever since she had started talking to me I've been training her so that we can fight together if need be but I didn't think she was at this point yet. The screaming kept going and as I looked in that direction her tears crept out of her eyes and off her cheek to the ground. "Let's go," I told her, "before I change my mind." she started walking in that direction and glanced back to make sure I was following her. The closer we got the quieter the cries got because she was making a great deal of noise, there was no chance that anyone a mile away hadn't heard her heading in that direction. When we got around to the front of the hut the cries were coming from, it was locked and there was a barred gate door with a little boy and a beautiful dog trapped behind it. "Hey there kid! What's your name? We're here to get you out of there, everything is going to be alright." she was doing really good at making herself sound like she knew what she was doing even though we both knew she didn't. I smiled and chuckled a bit... "It's alright, kiddo, let's get you somewhere else and make some food. You and your doggy look hungry and sad. Abby was really sad and scared when I found her but we're looking for the mansion so we can find Abbys family and get out of this nightmare. Wanna join us?" "Would I ever!! My names Andrew but everyone calls me Drew. I've been in here for so long, I don't even know how long actually.... I woke up and didn't know where I was and no one came when I cried so I tried to get out and couldn't get the door open." I went to the side and cut the canvas into a door for him to come out, no point wasting time with the door when they made the hut out of canvas tent covered in hay. His dog bowed it's head as it exited my created door, "Truman says thank you malady." he then bowed his head and walked out behind his pup. "So, neither of you recognize this place at all? Your family never brought you here or talked about a place like this?" I asked them both as we looked for a good spot to make some food. "My parents use to bring me camping but nothing like this, I was 6 when we went camping though. I'm 11 now, we were checking out the museums and my mom noticed something that made it so we couldn't leave. I haven't seen her for a long time but my dad was with us for a little bit, I'm not sure how we got in there but I didn't leave because I thought my dad would come find me. Am I going to find my parents? Could they be at the mansion?" "I can't guarantee anything but if everyone plays by the game board we've been given our first objective which is to get to the mansion and means anyone that gets passed this area will have to go to the mansion to move on to the next part of the "game". I haven't played by the rules though so I don't know what awaits me." "What do you mean?" They both asked... "I saved the both of you... she said in the beginning that we forfeit if we save anyone." "Who?" the little boy asked. "My evil aunt Linda...." Abby blurt out... "Wait, look..." I touch his head, "he doesn't have them...." "You aren't meant to be here!! You aren't a part of the game so you aren't being GPS'd like, we are!!" we were both excited about this information but he was confused and it was obvious as I looked into his eyes. "I'm not sure what that means but I need to find my parents, Truman's getting scared because they've gone for to long." his confusion turned sad as he spoke. "I'll help you find them, let's find somewhere to eat and then figure out how to get ourselves to the mansion and find our loved ones." he nodded. "Thank you, maam." "Since you don't have a headset you wouldn't know what's going on but you might know something so let me know if anything comes to mind. Have you ever been hunting before, know anything about cooking or foraging?" "Nope, my mom wanted to teach me but we never got the chance after all the secret stuff and her being gone. She was suppose to come back and we were going to be able to leave but I guess something else happened." "Oh look..." I pointed over at grill that had wood stacked next to it, this place had surprises everywhere, " we can sit over here with a fire and I can get some food thrown together over there." I got everything set up and found two new bags behind the stone grill, "Looks like this might be another check point," I sat them on the table near the bonfire and started going through them. When I went through the first bag it seemed to be around the same things I had gotten eat time. I was wondering if this repetitive bag was incase I lost weapons which I wasn't the type to do that, I would go back for it and use it later. I appreciated the extras though since I was teaching Abby to through things and at some point I'd give her one of my crossbows now that I have 3 but I was going to stick with knives for now. I got a bit weirded out when I went through the second bag though because after I found Abby a bag showed up near by where I'd left her, while scouting, that had things her exact size in it and things that would be useful having her with me. I just saved this boy and now there are two bags and one of them contains clothes for him to change into and new wet suits for Abby and me also, along with dry socks and hoodies. Someone had to be watching us but how and who, I'm breaking the rules so there's no way that Abbys Aunt Linda would be helping me, especially if she wanted Abby dead. I couldn't let on to my suspicions though if I wanted the kids to stay calm and cheerful like they were, "Hey, look... we all have new dry clothes and there's a changing tent over there for everyone to get dressed in. Leave your dirty clothes in this bag and we'll leave it behind, I need to get these dirty bandages off right before we leave so I don't attract any creepy crawlys this time. Go get changed so you can eat, I'll get your food set up for you and go through all of this to see what we should bring and what we shouldn't." They ran off to get changed as I sat up stew and put some bread on the table that was in one of the bags, whoever it was leaving these bags had been a wonderful gift to us in this mess and I sure was thankful for them.
