I have been staring at my laptop screen for most of the day. I can feel a headache coming on and find myself wishing that Paige were here to distract me from this work. She has been gone less than eight hours and I miss her already, though I do hope she is having fun. With my eyes beginning to blur, I decide to call it a day; the rest of those emails can wait until tomorrow. My body feels stiff as I stand from the stool that I occupied all day. Going to the fridge, I pull out the left over pasta that Paige left, but before I can heat it up, my phone rings. I answer straight away when I see that it is Lawrence. “Lawrence, how are you?” “Quite good, thank you. I was actually hoping that you might be free tonight?” “You know what? I have never been more free. What did you have in mind?”
