Julianne's POV
Arthur left the room but I am still shocked at his confession of going to spend the night with his new concubine.
I sat stunned, my mind racing. What did Arthur mean by "new concubine"? The last time I checked, I was the one he got mated to, and he had concubines before that, so when did he take a concubine without me knowing? Was it sudden after mating me? Was it part of his plan all along, and I didn't realize it? Was he wooing someone else all this while?
A pang of jealousy struck but I waved it off. It sounds ridiculous to me.
The maid, Jessica, was surprised as I entered the room; I didn't know she was going to wait for me.
"Don't tell me you were planning to stay all night awake awaiting my presence?" I questioned slumping onto the couch, my legs on the table.
