Humans Given The Very Last Chance

Those of Billy and Rose plus some other old trees in the forest got back to their positions. However, all the young trees spread all over the island and all over the world. They established themselves in new spots. This was done to increase the abundance of the talking trees and establish more haunted forests in the whole world.

This would make it easy to defend the rights of the other trees and also tell all the humans they found about their concerns. Dear feller, the next time you are tempted to cut down any tree, please think twice. It may either be next to a talking tree or a talking tree itself.

What I had forgotten was that before the old trees returned to their spots, they first put the island in order. They went and carried Job back to his place. Those that beat him also thought he had breathed his last but things were a bit different. Job was still alive in real truth. Though badly injured, he was still alive. Billy told him about all that had happened and told him to ask for help the other time such a thing happened so as not to get him beaten up again.

Therefore, the trees helped him to his place where he was received by his wife and children who could not believe their eyes. They did not expect that Job’s visit to Gooky would be a suicide mission.

As Jarod and Peter returned to the island, they could see the trees moving up and down thereon. By the looks of things, they could just tell that something unusual had happened. They tried to look for people to ask but no body was there.

This is because earlier on, after seeing the anomalous activity of the trees from the haunted forest, in fear for their lives, the women and children got into one of the ships and went wherever the ship wished to take them.

As Jarod and Peter were still searching around, it was Kyle they met tied up in one of the huts. They were very surprised to see the man who was assumed to be dead, living. They quickly untied him. He explained to them his part of the story and so did they.

Kyle was really happy to meet his friends again. He tried asking them about Jack and Sheya but they all did not know. He just led them to Job’s place not expecting to find him since he thought the island owner was dead. He wanted to get some answers about the whereabouts of his other friends.

Surprisingly, he found Job there at his home getting treatment and nursing the wounds. It was Job who told him what had happened to Gooky and all the people with whom he attacked the haunted forest.

“This is the real island owner. Leave alone that folly of Gooky. Just because of him we have lost our old time friends. Nevertheless, we move on,” said Kyle.

Kyle bade farewell to his friends as he decided to remain on the island till Job was perfectly well. He did this so as to return the favor Job offered him at the first time they met. He advised them to work with him as fishermen instead so as to have something to keep them busy and earn them a living.

Who else is left? That is my story. As other brothers and sisters of mine went to different parts of the world, for me I ended up here in your city. Therefore, you should not be so much in awe of a talking tree. I think I have exploited a hundred percent of your questions.

I encourage all humans out there not to cut down trees recklessly. Those trees you are cutting down are our brothers and sisters. If you are to really cut down trees, you must look for those very old trees and also be sure to replace whichever tree you cut down.

You have very many other alternative sources of energy like biogas, hydroelectric power, nuclear power and other fuels. Do not always look at us as the only energy sources because if you do, we will become extinct and you now know it is you who will suffer.

Do not cut down trees, I say it again. They sacrifice a lot to keep you humans safe. Nature has lots of ways of revenging towards humanity. Other trees cannot do it directly as I can but they can do it indirectly.

You should not marvel at all the things that are going wrong. The famine, drought, strong winds, hailstorms, soil erosion, earthquakes, global warming and mudslides are all a consequence of your selfish acts.

I can see what is ahead is even worse if you chose to continue cutting down trees. The cities are beautiful, the industries are beneficial to the economy and the products from trees yield a lot of money but they cannot contribute as much as the trees do. Just think about it.

As we get extinct, there will be no future for humanity. You still exist because we are here to guard you. No trees, no humans. Therefore, you will be known as the generation that brought humanity to an end.

We trees only wish that you would love us the same way we love you. Let us therefore co-exist with each other in the ecosystem. If we play our part and you play yours, then we will continue leaving in peace harmony. Even our children and our children’s children will continue to be friends.
