Chapter 26

1069 Words

(Ian’s POV) I parked my car in the usual spot at the college lot, the engine cutting off smoothly. My hand rested on the gearshift for a moment as I glanced at Aurora, sitting nervously in the passenger seat. She clutched her bag tightly, her eyes fixed on the students. After trying to soothe her nerves, I proceed to my department. The morning passed in a blur of lectures and discussions. I tried to focus, but my mind kept drifting back to Aurora. I thought of how she nervously gripped her bag when we arrived, her wide eyes taking in the campus. “She’s different” I muttered to myself during a break, flipping through my notes but not retaining a single word. Later in the day, while walking to my next class, my mood soured as I spotted Natasha leaning against a pillar near my classroom.
