She’s gone too far this time

We wake Christmas morning happy in each other’s arms.

Jenny will be back tomorrow and I have so much to tell her.

“I can still make this look good” I tease getting up of the bed and walking into the bathroom to change.

“No its fine, we can go” I say feeling confident.

“Ok good, but today you are mine” he says playfully dragging me into the shower with him.

Jenny walks through the door the next day and I jump up to help her with her bags.

“How was your Christmas” she asks shaking the last bits of snow off her coat.

“That’s amazing” she adds,;”I’m so happy for you both” she smiles and pulls me into the living room to fill her in with everything thats been happening.

The next evening we arrive at Lillians just after seven and its starting to snow again which makes everything look so much prettier.

We are greeted at the door by someone who I presume is her hired help.

We walk in and remove our coats which are then taken to be hung up somewhere.

Lillian comes from the main dining hall to greet us looking beautiful in her long black dress that sparkles when she walks.

“So glad you both made it” she says embracing us individually.

“Thank you for inviting us” I smile kissing her cheek.

We follow her into the dining hall and what seems like a million faces spin to watch us enter, I suddenly feel very inadequate.

Aiden never lets go of my hand much to the disgust of some of Lillians female guests.

We are offered a drink to which Aiden looks at me disapprovingly when I accept with a smile.

“One drink will not hurt” I smile leaning on him slightly to get him to lighten up.

He looks down at me and brings his lips to my ear.

“Just you wait till I get you alone” he breaths making me clamp my legs together.

Just before I can answer, two middle aged woman walk over to us and say hello, well they say hello to Aiden and completely ignore me.

“Have you met my girlfriend Demi” he says to them making me snap my head towards him.

“So when do we get an invite to one of your legendary cocktail evenings” says the dark haired woman who looks like she could Use less time on the sun bed.

“That was Olivias thing” he says politely,; “and Olivia and I are no longer together” he sighs obviously getting irritated by their presence.

“Shame” says the blond,; “we always thought you and Olivia made such a cute couple” shes adds before the dark haired one looks me up and down and pulls her away from us.

“Unbelievable” Aiden sighs.

We take our seats ready for dinner which was one of the best meals I have ever had, and as I sit here around a table full of people I don’t know, some I don’t want to know, I cant help but feel part of some sort of family, even if half the people here do not like me.

Once we have finished our meals, Aiden stands and taps his glass with his desert spoon getting everyone’s attention in the room.

“I have some wonderful news I would like to share with you all” he says looking down at me, ;”Demi would you join me up here” he asks pulling me up by my hand that he took from my lap.

“Most of you probably don’t know Demi” he smiles looking at me again, ;”but most of you have probably heard the rumours that she and I are together” he continues making me blush and look at the two woman from before.

“Well we would like to announce that we are going to be parents” he looks at Lillian who is smiling at us.

There are a number of gasps in the room as well as loud clapping coming from behind us.

We all turn to see who has made such a bold entrance, and there stands Olivia.

Aiden squeezes my hand as we stand there staring at this horrid woman.

“Well, well, well” she yells still clapping and coming into the room.

“Looks like you got us both knocked up didn’t you sweetheart” she says in such a cold manner.

Aiden steps forward leaving me standing at the table alone.

“How dare you come here” Aiden yells in her face making her smile.

Lillian stands also and walks over to them both.

“Please lets take this somewhere more private shall we” she says trying to move Aiden and Olivia from where they are rooted.

“Oh I’m not going anywhere” shouts Olivia folding her arms across her chest.

“Not until he tells that little w***e that he f****d me and now I’m pregnant” she scoffs almost with a laugh.

“You are insane” shouts Aiden back in her face.

The room is full of whispers and Olivias words come back to hit me hard in the chest.

“Please stop” I yell holding on to the chair beside me before I fall to the floor and pass out.

When I wake I have a pillow under my head and Aiden is staring at me with concern all over his face.

“Demi” says Aiden stroking my four head.

“Demi sweetheart” Lillian calls me gently making me look at her.

“How are you feeling” she asks gently helping me to sit up.

The tears begin to fall as I’m helped to my feet and all I can say looking at Aiden is please take me home.
