Xander POV " We are ready for the surprise attack, hundred warriors are selected to go with us. The rest will protect the pack " Nick informed me I came to my office and sat on my chair. Yesterday's events came swimming into my mind. "Alpha, our scouts informed that Fedrick had formed his pack of rouges. He is coming for revenge. The attack is due three days later " Gamma Victor reported Fedrick is none other than my uncle. He is a total asshole. He was involved in big crimes but considering his rank I turned a blind eye to them. But last year he hit my bottom line by rapping a few maids of the packhouse. That bastard thought that he would get away with it. I confronted him about all his crimes from the biggest to the smallest and banished him from the pack. Now he wants revenge. He thought he would take me by surprise and overthrow me. He didn't know that I had planted spies around him, the moment he was exiled. I looked at the watch, it was almost midnight. "Time to end him" I smirked and exited the packhouse. I reached the grounds and saw a large group of warriors at some distance waiting. "We will work according to our discussed plan. Nick will destroy the provisions with his team while Victor will follow me to attack from the front" I ordered them and shifted into my wolf. I heard a few snaps of bones as we all started to run towards the main camp. The blood moon was shining above us. The sky was changing its shade to dark red. The rustling of the leaves could be heard as the wind brushes them. Deep in my heart, I felt uneasy. Something big is about to happen. I ignored the pitch feeling and gave full control to my wolf. We speeded up towards their base. We were deep in the woods when the foul smell of rouges reached my nose. I mind linked my men to stop. " Nick make sure that not a bit of provision is left " I mind linking him "Noted" he answered As we grew up together Nick and I are inseparable. He knows me the best and is my most trusted right hand. Sometimes he becomes a pain in the ass but at times of crisis, he is the one I can rely on. Victor with of the warriors followed me deep into the woods. I saw a few camps at some distance. " Attack, and demolish every single being" I ordered them through the mind link. At once chaos could be heard as my warriors lunged towards the rouges who seemed to be unaware of our presence, they shifted in their wolf forms to defend themselves. I moved on the battlefield looking for that mother fucker Fredrick killing every single rouge that crosses my path. I saw a rouge with red eyes standing in the furthest corner of the field. I shifted to my human form and walked toward him. " Well well, well look who decided to show up, The Alpha! " he faked bowed to me. " I thought without power you would be disciplined, seems like I guessed wrong. " I mocked. " I guessed today you would come, seems like I was right" he replied leisurely. I looked at him shocked but then held my posture. "Maybe he is just playing with me," I thought. I gave my wolf full control and shifted back to my wolf form and lunged at him He dodge me and shifted. We were moving in a circle never leaving the eyes each other. " Alpha! more rouges are coming from all directions, we have outnumbered "Nick's mind link me " f**k " I cursed under my breath Several rouges loaded with silver came from the dark. Fredrick used my distraction and tackled me to the ground, his paws were digging into my skin. "What happened Alpha! are you tricked" he mocked. I pushed him backwards. Other rouges came with force I killed them all but by the end, I had a large amount of silver in my veins. Fredrick again lunged at me I pushed him and grasped his neck, he wrapped all four legs around me digging his paws deeply in me and scratching my back. I was caught off guard when he grabbed a silver stake that was lying beside us and he jabbed it in below my right shoulder, I howled from the impact of the pain but didn't lose the pressure on his neck, His face turned blue. He tried to wiggle his way out of my grasp. I knocked him out and pulled the knife from my shoulder. I dug out his heart and discarded with along his filthy body. I shifted to my human form and fell to my knees. I tried to mind link Nick but the silver in my system wasn't allowing it. I saw Victor along with rogues coming towards me. He bend down and smirked " Alpha doesn't worry about the pack I will handle it after you, it's time for you to rest in hell," he said with venom dripping in his voice. "You betrayed me?" I asked him in a shocked voice. "You killed Fredrick, do you have any idea who he was? He was my f*****g father, yet you are questioning me about the betrayal," he said "Fredrick! your father? How?" I questioned "Since you are dying, let me share a secret with you. I am not an orphan, I am the illegitimate child of Fredrick and a maid" he laughed out loud. "Kill him" he ordered the rouges. I gathered my left strength and shifted into my wolf. I attacked them but I was outnumbered. I looked around to find help but saw no warrior alive. They held me down and Victor jabbed me with another silver knife in my chest. I felt my head spinning and fell to the ground. My eyelids got heavy and I welcomed the darkness around me.
