Over Hot Chocolate and Red Wine

I walk towards group of new students that already assemble in front of student council. With rolled-up loose long sleeve plaid shirt, ripped skinny jeans, messy buns, one strap of backpack over one shoulder, earphone blasting with loud rock music, and me ripping a pack of chewing gum certainly not a pleasant sight for other nerd looking new students. I just mind my own business ignoring the eyes while waiting for the next itinerary of college orientation to start. Yeah. College. Who would think me, Ivanna Mytheus would be accepted into a college with full scholarship. A girl from a little town that no one ever heard before juggling between 2 part–time jobs and school sound impossible to get this opportunity. Due to my drive to change my life after growing up in shitty family, I manage to get excellent CGPA enough for me to apply to this prestigious college in the city. People from my town are sceptical with my achievement. A lot of rumours me bribing one of the teacher from school to get me into this college. Some even said I slept with him. Mr. Julius Mikaelson. A new young teacher transferred to our school. He is a nice guy and passionate teacher. He helps me catching up to the entire syllabus that I missed over my period of absence from school.  With his help, I manage to submit an essay for my college application. I am always grateful for his help. Due to jealousy coming from fellow classmates and locals, he was kicked out of town. I bawled my eyes out when seeing he was dragged by the people. I was furious about what happen and decide to pack my stuff and drag my alcoholic mother with me across the state line to start a new life. I let all the past behind and keep my head forward for my upcoming future. Suddenly, I feel a nudge over my shoulder. I take out my earphone and turn. A clean cut, tall guy with clear skin and spectacle come into my sight.             “I think u should change to something more appropriate”, he said.             “Excuse me?” I replied. “What’s wrong with my outfit?” I continued.             “Nothing’s wrong, Miss. It is just we in the middle of orientation. I think u should wear something more college-loving outfit. For example, this bomber jacket or this cap.” He said as he hands me over those two.             “College-loving outfit eh?” I smirk over his word. I can see he is already wearing college bomber jacket over college shirt. He just smiles. My hands reach over the bomber jacket and donning it right away. I shove the baseball cap into my backpack. “Thank you for this. I didn’t manage to collect this earlier from the committee.” I said and smiles. He looks away and walks across the crowd of other students. I was about to ask his name but sigh over his sudden act.  Few second later, the student council start giving us briefing about college tour. The thought of mysterious guy fades away from my mind as we start the tour.
