“Miss Rost how about we do it together?” she just nodded her head at me that is when I gave the signal to start.The surgery went on for about almost nine hours.I was tired as hell but kept going for the sake of the child that I’m saving.After nine hours the baby was fine he had a few problems,but that could be healed with medicine or even a touch of a mothers love.Once they were taken to their rooms I followed the mother to make sure that she is fine.She woke up with a smile when she saw her beautiful baby boy next to her.That feeling could never be explained by anyone nor can a foster mother.Her wolf was connecting with her baby one of the most beautiful things ever.I left them alone then walked out by the door.A man with a suite gave me an envelope then he left before I could even say something at all.My pager went off once again so I threw the envelope into my pocket.I have been going on call outs for most of the evening,but now it was time for my rounds as soon as I checked the time.Olga was sleeping on one of the beds in the back and one of the nurses in the wheelchair.This was one long night!As I came out by the locker rooms the lycan was waiting for me with a smile.

“What are you doing here?”

“You really do smell nice!”

“Thank you but…..”

“He is here to take you for a decent cup of coffee by the cafe!”

“Angela what are you doing?”

“Well you have been working a eighty four hour shift almost so a coffee won’t hurt!”

“Fine,but only one since I have a lot of patients to see today!”

“Deal!”we then headed straight out of the clinic on our way to get coffee.

*Aiden’s point of view

After my long run and hot shower it was time to get down to business for once.My head have been spinning with questions these last days,but I have come to a point where I think that it is best not to answer them at all.I got into a jean and a plane white t shirt then headed straight to the office.I found the ball planner already waiting for me.I let him into my office then got down to business as usual.This year a ball will be held at my house where everyone is invited.That is right all the alpha’s and mates bla bla bla.As we spoke about the last arrangements I felt something inside me telling me to look out of the window.Almost like a siren.My eyes could not believe what I have seen.Niqolette and my bastard of a brother sitting by a bench busy drinking coffee.That made me mad.If he touches her I will kill him unfortunately brother or not!Mine is mine one day I will give my toys to him,but that will not be Niqolette.As we finished the last arrangements I headed out to Amelia who was already waiting for me.She looked beautiful. As we was having lunch she started asking questions, questions that I am afraid to answer since I myself don’t know the truth.

“Where were you the other night, because I was looking for you but could not seem to find you?”

“Maybe I did not want to be found!”

“Everyone wants to be found my pumpkin ,so please tell me what color will we do this year?”

“You can pick my dear!”

“You never let me pick?”

“Well it is time for a change don’t you think?”

“Aiden are you alright?”

“Perfectly my dear,now how about you finish your glass of wine so that we can get some time alone?”

“That sounds great!”

“Let’s go!”

I took her by her hand then left the table on my way to her room.She unlocked the door then went inside as I stepped in I locked the door.She was standing in front of me with a cocktail dress on.Dam I was so horny as hell I had to get my frustrations out of my body otherwise my wolf will get angry as fuck.I ripped her dress of her body then laid her on the bed softly.I can hear how she is growling for me but I want her to growl harder.I kissed her on her neck then down with the line to her sweet little hips.I felt warmness near my face with a very nice smell,so I took my fingers and placed it in her.She growled even harder but not the way I wanted to.Her lips felt mine with very quick movements with my fingers she was basically riding me.I shifted her then placed my finger in once again only to find her biting her tongue.It was not long that she was riding my finger like a f*****g horse that she reached her paradise moment.She looked pleased but I was not.This whole time I was thinking about Niqolette and what she would have tasted like.Shit that girl had me on fire.After Amelia came I stood up and walked away only to go for a run.

*Niqolette’s point of view

“Thanks for the coffee it was nice,but what are you doing here?”

“Well I came to check up on you?”

“Why on earth would you do that?”

“Because I know of the stupid heritage run the alpha’s do each year.”

“Have you ever done it?”

“Hell no,but I did compete with Aiden so I think that is one gold star for me.”

“He is not an easy man trust me,I had him in the emergency room this morning.He really is an ass isn’t he?”

“I grew up with him imagine going through that!”

We both laughed then Angela came to stand by us.She looked pissed,but I was not going to say anything at all.

“Try working for that ass!”

“Are you fine?”

“Aiden has him up to no good again can you believe that!”

“Well my tea break is over,thank you so much for the coffee once again it was nice!”As I stood up an envelope fell out of my pocket.I have forgotten completely about the dam thing.Angela threw a gasp when she saw the envelope.I turned only to find her surprised.she opened the envelope and read it out loud.

“Niqolette you are invited to the royal alpha’s ball!”

“Why do you seem so happy?”

“Because then I won’t be alone like last time!”

“I’m not going!”

“Yes you are you have to.”

“No I have to save patients and I have to eat,but that right there that is not even a fear answer.”

“Please,just this once then I will forget the part where you stitched my boyfriend up without filling me in on it!”

“Are you blackmailing me?”

“No,I’m just mentioning it to you!”

“Fine,I’ll go but I have nothing to wear!”

“I’ll pick you up at three then I’ll show you all the nice spots!”

“Markus are you sure?”

“Yes,plus I still do owe you a favor for that family reunion stunt!”

We laughed then Angela started to talk on and on about the last year’s venue's,but this year it is going to be hosted here with us.On the devils playground.I finished my coffee then headed straight back to the clinic.Once I got there Olga was waiting on me again.She gave me a file and asked the same as last night.I walked to the room only to find the asshole in front of me.

“I need help!”

“Hi guys it is good to see you back,so what seems to be the problem this time?”

Aiden showed me his leg that had a trap through it.So I’m guessing that he was running like always and did not mind his step.I walked closer then started to work on the wound.

“Where are you going?”

“Well I’m meeting up with an old friend,hope that it won’t be a problem with you?”

“You are not leaving this premise!”

I threw away my gloves then found him staring at me with the beta right next to him.

“Oh really and why is that?”

“Cause I said so,and if you go I will cut myself open and we both know that it will have to go to a surgery!”

“Alright take it easy let me just get the patches then I’ll be back oky!”

Moments later I came in with a big smile.He looked shocked when he saw who was behind me.

“I forgot to tell you that we have to phone the person on the emergency list.Now would you please excuse me I have an appointment to get to!”

I left there only with a big laugh so big that I could not stop laughing from the face Aiden made.If this was a test I would have aced it immediately basically with flying colors. After I got the dress to wear to this silly ball Markus dropped me off at my small cottage.Home how have I misted you!I heard a small voice around the corner it was Angela she had her make-up and clothes there.She had like six dresses with nine matching shoes.After my bath she did my hair but the curiosity made me ask questions.

“So what is the royal ball?”

“It is a ball where all the alpha’s come to gather with their mates,but here is the tricky part Nikki the alpha’s is going with their mistress.”

“Wait what!”

“Aiden changed it years ago saying that the mistresses are the real power behind their success, a few did disagree but got out voted.”

“So you are telling me that I will be in one room with Amelia being the last person on the planet!”

“Look everyone has already sent a letter stating that they will come,because of you.”

“That still does not making any of this better Angela!”

“Show them who you really are, maybe that is why your mother never took you to these Nikki it was to protect you!

“Protect me from what?”

“From people like them friend from assholes like Aiden.”

*Aden’s point of view

Everything was ready to go.All of the beta’s from around the world was waiting in the ball room on their alpha’s arrival.Amelia wore a beautiful red dress that made her stand out even more.She was always the talk of the town between the ladies.As soon as our names was red we then made our way down the stairs.

“Last we have the one and only Aiden the ripper with his gorgeous mistress miss Amelia  from the south!”

Everyone clapped their hands together, as the ladies look at poor Amelia in horror.I started to greet each and every one. I checked my time then realized that Niqolette has not arrived yet.Maybe she is as weak as I thought.

“Ladies and gentleman I would like you to welcome one of our next guests the lovely Niqolette Winters that is being escorted by Markus the Lycan!”
